Hello, My husband and I have a 37 minute connection in SFO on Saturday. We’re traveling with a two year and and five month old, so we’re a little concerned with the short layover time! We only have to walk from gate 68 to gate 72, both in terminal 3. Do you think this is enough time?
Yes, that is enough time if the first flight is on-time.
My sister in law (US citizen) is wanting to fly from Singapore to Austin, TX via SFO on United Airlines. The SFO to Austin flight will be a United flight. She has a 2 hour layover at SFO. Will that be sufficient time to go through customs and make the connecting flight. She is also visually impaired.
That should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Hello, We will be arriving on Qantas flight 73 from Sydney on April 12, 2018, connecting to United flight 285 to Houston. How close is the baggage claim and will we be able to recheck our luggage just past where we exit from the International Terminal (I read that somewhere)? My schedule shows that we will be arriving in Terminal A and departing from Terminal 3. I plan to use the Mobile Pass app to help get through customs. My flights were ticketed together. Do you think it's possible to make a 2 hour 13 minute layover work? Thanks
Yes, if your bags are tagged to Houston you can re-check your bags at the re-check desk right after you clear customs in the International Terminal. You should have enough time.
Thinking about booking flight connecting through SFO, ASA 1713 arrives at 0912, UAL888 leaves at 1045. Is this enough time? I will have no checked bags.
btw, another option i am looking at is UAL2093 from DFW to SFO (0930), then connecting to PEK. This has shorter connection time, but will be arriving at terminal 3.
Still will be on separate ticket, since somehow when I book DFW-PEK directly, UAL wants to charge me 2.5 times more than doing separately.
With no checked bags you will be able to walk directly from your arrival gate to your departure gate if both flights are on United. 1 hr 15 is plenty of time to do that. Coming from Alaska Airlines you'll have to change terminals and go through security.
We are arriving SFO on Alaska from SAN, leaving international BA to London. Have been told we will need to collect our luggage from baggage and transfer ourselves. What is the best way to move from baggage claim terminal 1 to International Terminal departure?
Alaska doesn't use Terminal 1. They use Terminal 2 and the International Terminal. If you need to change terminals, take the AirTrain.
Isn’t the Air Train inside the terminals. I need to gather my luggage from Terminal 2/Alaska and the recheck into BA in the international terminal. Looking at what kind of transportation outside the terminal that takes you to the other terminals?
Guess I do not understand if Air Train in indies the secured area of the terminal only or does it run outside around the airport as well, we could then collect our luggage and use it to move to the International terminal to check in?
I will arrive from Mexico (AeroMexico) at 9.25 pm at SFO International Terminal. I have a connection to Seoul (Korean Air) from same terminal at 00.10 am next day (2hrs 40 mins) - is this enough time? I'm not a US Citizen so have to clear immigration. Thanks!
Yes, that should be enough time. Everyone has to clear US Immigration for the transfer, even US citizens.
I have a flight arriving from Mexico with Aeromexico at 21 30, and a connecting one towards Seoul (Asiana) at 23 30. ARe 2 hours enough to make the connection - do I have to go through customs/security and would i need to check out and check in my luggage?
this is at SFO to confirm
Yes, you have to do all that stuff. That is barely possible if everything goes perfectly.
