I´m arriving in SFO from Houston at 10:15 in a United flight, then taking another United flight from SFO to Haneda in Japan. Is 45 minutes enough time for the connection? I´m planning on only carry-on bags. I´m not a U.S national but my first entrance to the country will be in IAH.

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do in SFO is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hello, I will be flying into SFO from International terminal G through United in the evening. I have a 4 hour layover in SFO before flying out of the domestic terminal 3. In that time, I'd like to meet up with some family members outside of security. 1) Will I need to grab my luggage and check it back in with me again? 2) If so, how long would you estimate it would take to go through customs, grab luggage, and then go through security again for my next flight? 3) What would be the best place out of security to meet for easy re-entry? 4) All that being done, how much time would you estimate I'd have leftover to meet up with them? Thanks!
1) Yes, you will
2) you have plenty of time - I'd probably just have them meet you at the exit of Customs. You will have to head back through security for your domestic flight about 75 minutes before your flight.
4) You'll probably have like an hour to meet with your family.
I will be flying United Airlines from YVR (Vancouver) to RNO (Reno), with a connection in SFO....the connection layover is 1 hr 47min (both legs of the flight are with United). Will I need to collect and recheck my bag in SFO and clear immigration? Will the layover be enough time? If I miss my connection, there is later United flight to RNO,,,would they put me on that one?
You pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Vancouver. All you have to do in San Francisco is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
Thank you!!
I'm arriving at SFO at 7:20 pm at Terminal 2, and departing for Sydney, Australia at 8:30 pm. Both flights are on the same reservation/ticket, but is 1 hour enough time to leave Terminal 2 get back in line for security for the International Terminal and make my flight?
That should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
US green card holder from PEK to SFO with UA 889, arriving time is 1:05pm on Dec 19. Is 2 hour 45 minutes sufficient layover time to transfer flight UA 1845 to Denver departuring at 3:50pm? Need to go though passport check, custom and recheck baggage. Thanks in advance.
Yes, should be enough time.
Hello, i arrive sfo from las with United. Then i fly with Lufthansa to fra. The layover is 56 minutes. Do you think thats enough time to get The flight to germany?
Yes, all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate in Terminal 3 to your departure gate in Concourse G of the International Terminal. They are connected inside security by a walkway. You should have enough time.
Thank you!!
Hi. I intend with my daughter to fly to LA with Virgin VS19 with which lands at San Francisco and allows 1hr 50 mins before take off on VS4126
As coming in from the UK SF will be the point of Immigration and Customs and my question is, with the enhanced security is 1hour 50mins enough time?
Many thanks for any help you can give.
There is no "enhanced security". You have enough time if everything goes smoothly and everything is on the same reservation.
Hello there. I am looking at a possible connection in SFO to fly to Hong Kong on 12/12/2017. The flight that I'm looking at look like:

DEN - SFO (via Southwest) 6:10PM to 8:00PM
SFO - HKG (via Cathay) 10:50PM to 5:40PM

I'm also planning to checkin luggage as it'll be a 5 week trip. Do you think I will have enough time?
Yes, that should be enough time if the Southwest flight is on-time. You just have to claim your bags from Southwest in Terminal 1, take them to the international terminal and check them with Cathay, and go through security.
Thank you very much! I'll go ahead and make that reservation.
Hi I am arriving at SFO by Alaska airlines, and I have to meet my friend at Terminal 3. Should I get out the International terminal first, then I have to get in Terminal 3? Last time, I remember I walked for a long to get in the baggage claim of Terminal 3. Since I have more time, hopefully, I can meet him at the gate where his plane arrives without going to a baggage claim area. Thanks
You aren't able to walk to his arrival gate since the part of the International Terminal Alaska uses isn't connected to Terminal 3 inside security. You'll have to meet at a baggage claim again.
That was what I thought. Thanks!
I am a canadian citizen flying into SFO from Vancouver and connecting to COPA airline to Panama City, flight CM383. Do I have to collect my bags in SFO and pass through customs and then recheck them in again to go on? Which terminal do I arrive at with Air Canada ? and which terminal do I part from with COPA to Panama City? Do I need a transit visa to go through he states? Is 2 hrs enough time for the connection?
If both flights are on the same reservation all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate as you pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. Canadians never need a visa to visit or transit the US. You have enough time.
