Hello, i arrive sfo from las with United. Then i fly with Lufthansa to fra. The layover is 56 minutes. Do you think thats enough time to get The flight to germany?
Yes, all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate in Terminal 3 to your departure gate in Concourse G of the International Terminal. They are connected inside security by a walkway. You should have enough time.
Thank you!!
Hi. I intend with my daughter to fly to LA with Virgin VS19 with which lands at San Francisco and allows 1hr 50 mins before take off on VS4126
As coming in from the UK SF will be the point of Immigration and Customs and my question is, with the enhanced security is 1hour 50mins enough time?
Many thanks for any help you can give.
There is no "enhanced security". You have enough time if everything goes smoothly and everything is on the same reservation.
Hello there. I am looking at a possible connection in SFO to fly to Hong Kong on 12/12/2017. The flight that I'm looking at look like:

DEN - SFO (via Southwest) 6:10PM to 8:00PM
SFO - HKG (via Cathay) 10:50PM to 5:40PM

I'm also planning to checkin luggage as it'll be a 5 week trip. Do you think I will have enough time?
Yes, that should be enough time if the Southwest flight is on-time. You just have to claim your bags from Southwest in Terminal 1, take them to the international terminal and check them with Cathay, and go through security.
Thank you very much! I'll go ahead and make that reservation.
Hi I am arriving at SFO by Alaska airlines, and I have to meet my friend at Terminal 3. Should I get out the International terminal first, then I have to get in Terminal 3? Last time, I remember I walked for a long to get in the baggage claim of Terminal 3. Since I have more time, hopefully, I can meet him at the gate where his plane arrives without going to a baggage claim area. Thanks
You aren't able to walk to his arrival gate since the part of the International Terminal Alaska uses isn't connected to Terminal 3 inside security. You'll have to meet at a baggage claim again.
That was what I thought. Thanks!
I am a canadian citizen flying into SFO from Vancouver and connecting to COPA airline to Panama City, flight CM383. Do I have to collect my bags in SFO and pass through customs and then recheck them in again to go on? Which terminal do I arrive at with Air Canada ? and which terminal do I part from with COPA to Panama City? Do I need a transit visa to go through he states? Is 2 hrs enough time for the connection?
If both flights are on the same reservation all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate as you pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. Canadians never need a visa to visit or transit the US. You have enough time.
Arriving with young kids on Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong landing at 9:20am. Is there sufficient time to transfer to a Frontier Airlines flight to Denver departing at 11:45am? If too tight then approximately what departure time from SFO-DEN do you suggest? Thank you.
I'd recommend against that with Kids. I recommend at least 3 hours.
I am flying from Incheon (Korea) to SFO, and finally to LAS. The flight is UA892 and UA943 (Terminal 3). Since it's my first time at SFO, I wonder how I am supposed to move around at the airport. What are the steps here? Immigration, Customs, and Baggage Claim? Thanks in advance.
In San Francisco you will arrive in the International Terminal, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then walk to Terminal 3 and go through security and to your departure gate.
Looking at booking a ticket with ANA (operated by United) from Orlando to SFO and then from SFO to Toyko. The layover time is only 59 minutes. Will this be enough time?
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I am arriving to SFO with Lufthanza from FranKfurt then connecting to Portland Oregon. I am wondering the steps to follow to transfer from the international terminal to domestic terminals
What airline are you flying to Portland? Is it all on one reservation or two separate reservations?
It is all in one reservation. Arriving to sfo with Lufthansa and departing to Portland with united airlines-co-sharing with lufthanza
Then you will arrive in the International Terminal, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then walk to Terminal 3, go through security and to your departure gate.
Is gate 3 a walking distance?. So no need to take the ATS system
Is gate 3 a walking distance?. So no need to take the ATS system
Terminal 3 is right next to the International Terminal.
Thank you very much ZAP
This is my first flight to SFO from frankfurt with lufthanza. I wonder which steps to follow to transfer from international terminal to domestic terminal (1 or 2)
What airline are you flying domestic? When you arrive, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, and go through US Customs.
