Tips and ideas on how to best spend a layover at Seattle Tacoma airport. Got a favorite quiet place to connect to wifi? A great bar or restaurant? Maybe an exhibit or a walk? Share your SEA Airport layover experiences with others, or post a question and get notified when there is a response.
Hi, I'm going to use Alaska Airlines to Seattle, have a 17.5 hr layover, then use Hainan Airlines Bejing, then 5.5 hr layover and then reach Chungdu. I will be doing the reverse on the way back home to Edmonton. Will I need to claim my baggage when having layovers and recheck them in for my next flights?
We will have a 12 hour layover in late june - are there tours that pick you up at the airport and take you around the city for a few hours and then deliver you back to the airport? If yes please provide information. Thanks
Hi, I am flying from Maui to London and have a layover at Seattle for nearly 13hours. The flight will all be booked on the same ticket (Virgin or Delta). I believe the bags will be checked straight through from Hawaii to London and will not need to be collected at Seattle. Presumably as Maui - Seattle is a domestic flight I will not need to go through customs? Could someone please confirm whether I am able to leave the airport and take in a few sights rather than hanging around at the airport? Also, is it realistically worth doing that with the amount of time I would have? (I realise this will involve going through security again for the SEA-LON flight). Thanks in advance!
I am looking at going to Iceland next year and looking at the plane tickets. There is an Alaska Airlines to Icelandair combination, with a layover in Seattle both coming and going. The layover can range from from 1.5 hours to 6 hours. Does anyone have any experience with going from Domestic to International at this airport and can recommend a minimum time for a layover? Thanks!
