Getting Around the Airport

The terminal building structure at Southwest Florida International consists of a single main terminal. The security checkpoint at the terminal provides access to the three concourses, Concourse B, C, and D of the RSW airport.

Main Terminal

The main terminal consists of the following levels:

The Arrivals and Baggage Claim level consists of 10 baggage claim carousels with baggage belts numbered 01-10. Near baggage belts 3 and 7 there are information booths, as well as in the international arrivals hall. Lost and found and TSA Precheck is located near baggage belt 5 while the office of the airport police. Across the baggage belts are the terminal entrance doors 01-06. Throughout this area, you will find luggage carts, escalators/elevators, flight information courtesy phones, restrooms, and restrooms. Outside there are two animal relief areas at either end of the terminal level. The animal relief area located towards the extreme right of the level leads to the International Arrivals Hall Door opening up to the U.S. Checkpoint and Border Protection.

The Departures and Ticketing level consists of 11 airline ticket counters: counter 1-11 is served by Air Canada, Frontier, United, Sun Country, Southwest, Spirit, WestJet, Delta, American, Alaska, and JetBlue. Services included are a nursing station, flight information courtesy phones, terminal entrance doors 1-6 across the ticket counters, and two information booths at the entrance to Concourse B and D. Inside the ticketing hall there is a cash-to-card kiosk as well.

Concourse B

Concourse B consists of terminal gates B1-B9 which are served by Air Canada, Eurowings, Frontier, Southwest, Sun Country and United. Services include an information/charging station and flight information courtesy phones.

Concourse C

Concourse C consists of terminal gates C1-C9 which are served by Delta/Delta Connection, United, and WestJet. Services include an information/charging station and flight information courtesy phones.

Concourse D

Concourse D consists of terminal gates D1-10 served by American, Delta, JetBlue, and Spirit. Services include an information/charging station and flight information courtesy phones.

Food, Shops & Amenities

There are many options for shopping and dining around RSW airport. Some notable shops and restaurants include Beaches Travelmart/Dunkin' and Shula's Bar & Grill inside the main terminal; A Day at the Beach and Beaches Boardwalk Café inside Concourse B; Beaches Travelmart and Dewar's Clubhouse inside Concourse C; and Sanibel Marketplace and Starbucks inside Concourse D.

Security Checkpoints

The security checkpoints at RSW airport are monitored by the Federal TSA - Transportation Security Administration. Only passengers possessing tickets are allowed to proceed beyond any of the security checkpoints. All security checkpoints provide access to the concourses and airplane gates.

Terminal Tips

  • Arrive 90 minutes before flight time in case of domestic flights, and two hours before flight time in case of international flights.
  • There are shuttle services available at the airport connecting concourses and the main terminal
  • Print your boarding passes beforehand or use electronic boarding passes to save time
  • Get all information regarding baggage sizes, airline schedule, curbside pickup/dropoff, or wheelchairs, prior to reaching the airport
  • When traveling with pets or other animals:
    • Review the airline policies beforehand
    • Use the pet relief areas if required. These are located outside the Arrivals and Baggage claim level
    • All pets are to remain inside the carries in the terminals, except for service animals
    • Non-service animals are not permitted inside the airport terminal without the animal owner
  • In case of lost items:
    • Call your airline for lost items inside the aircraft, departure lounge, or at the ticket counters
    • Call the rental car companies for lost items inside the rental cars
