I arrive on Spetember 1 at 11:17 on a United flight from Tampa and leave at 1:55 on Icelandair. I will not have checked bags to collect. Do I need to go through security and how much time will it take to get from my arrival gate to the departure gate? Thanks.
If you already have your Icelandair boarding pass you can go directly to your departure gate, which should take less than 20 minutes.
Thank you.

Just realized that I only have an hour connection in IAD between my flight from Montreal and the one to San Francisco. The flight gets in on Monday morning at 8am and I plan on taking my backpack as a carry-on to save some time. Will I be ok?
You pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal. All you have to do at IAD is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I am traveling from Dubai to Indianapolis via Washington Dulles international airport. I am arriving in Washington by Emirates flight which arrives at 08:40hrs. If I book a United Airlines flight scheduled to depart at 12:35pm, will I have enough time take the flight after collecting baggage. In which terminal does Emirates flight arrive and from which terminal will United airlines to Indianapolis depart? How much time does it take to reach the terminal to take the United airlines flight?
That should be enough time. Dulles only has one terminal. When you clear customs with your bags you will be in the International Arrivals building, which is directly connected to the main terminal where you need to re-check your bags with United.
I am flying from syracuse to IAD (UA4871) and have a 45 min connection only for my Houston flight (UA6171). I THINK the former flight usually arrives at gate A and the latter leaves from Gate D :/ Will i have enough time?
That's just enough time if the first flight is on-time.
Hi there,

I'm booking for my parents and not sure if the 1h40mins will be enough for them to land at IAD and connect to another flight (Air Canada) for Toronto Pearson Intl.

Will the time be enough. They are first time travelers and have no paid luggage (only hand luggage)

Thanks to advise asap. I need to book their tickets by tomorrow :(
Where are your parents arriving into IAD from? Will everything be on the same reservation?
They are Mauritian (passport) and they will be arriving to IAD from London heathrow, on United flight. Yes reservation is one. They will connect to second United flight from IAD to Toronto
That's just enough time if everything goes smoothly. They will need US Transit Visas. In Washington they will have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security.
Hi. My flight from Paris arrives at Dulles at 15:50 and my next flight to Charlottesville is at 17:40. Will I have enough Time to catch it, knowing that I have to go through customs and recheck my luggage? How far is the gate to the CHO flight?
The gate to Charlottesville will be on Concourse A. If both flights are on the same reservation you should have just enough time.
Thank you. It's good to know. I will find out what Concourse A is.
I,m arriving in the main terminal from LAX and leaving for Frankfort Germany from terminal 1 I have 56 minutes between planes will I have enough time to make the connection and will I have to go through Security again
Dulles doesn't have "Terminal 1". If both of your flights are on the same reservation then all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
We are coming from Barcelona through IAD with a connecting flight to DIA on a Sunday afternoon. We have 2 hours based on a United itinerary update. I have Global Entry so I will be fine. My partner has a Spanish visa. Will he also likely make the flight?
Yes, you should both have enough time but it will obviously be a bit more stressful for your partner.
I have a tight connection going from B concourse to C14. How long does it take to do this? Thanks
if you have 45-60 minutes between flights you'll be OK if the first flight is on-time and domestic.
Thanks. We ended up arriving at the C concourse 2 gates away from my next flight! Lucked out on this one!!
I am arriving from United Toronto to Washington at 11:40 am and connecting to Caymans flight I have 50 minutes for connecting.. is this enough time, I am only brining carry-on luggage.. please let me know
Yes, that is enough time if the first flight is on-time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto so all you have to do in Washington is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
