My wife and I are looking at taking a return flight from Edinburgh Scotland with a connecting flight at Dulles. We would be arriving at Dulles on Friday June 15, 2018 at 3:30pm with our connecting flight home to GSP at 5:07pm (a layover of 1hr 37min).

My question is, would this be enough time to collect checked luggage, clear customs, check into flight to GSP, and clear security to make our connecting flight to GSP? Both flights are would be booked with United. We both have TSA pre check and plan on getting Global Entry prior to this trip.

Thanks in advance for any info you can share!
Yes, that is enough time.
I'm flying in May from Knoxville to Niagara Falls on United Flight 4710. I change planes in IAD - then flying on United Flight, 6271 from Dulles to Toronto. Is 50 minutes enough time to make my connection?
Yes, that is enough time if the first flight is on-time.
I will be flying in from SYR. to San Diego. Both flights will be on United Airlines. Will I be going from c to d or the other way?
Your flights could use C or D. The Syracuse flight could also possibly arrive in A. All gates are connected inside security.
Hi! I am arriving from Vienna with United Airlines and I need to go to gates D where there are usually domestic departures to fly to Austin, Tx. I only have 2.5 hours. Questions: Do I need to get the Airtrain that goes to gates A, C in order to then walk to gates D? How does the whole process with the baggage drop off work for int. arrivals that have a connection within the U.S.? Thanks for the help! Much appreciated!
Your flight from Vienna is operated by Austrian. So you will be processed in the International Arrivals building. After you clear customs and re-check your bags, you will go through security and take the Mobile Lounge or Aerotrain to your departure concourse. You go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate.
CUN to IAD with 1.5 hours to connect to a flight from IAD to YYZ - is this enough time? (what is required in IAD - pick-up bags? clear customs? go back through TSA?) What terminal does the flight from CUN land in IAD and the flight from IAD depart for YYZ? Would appreciate any help.
Yes, that is enough time. Yes, you have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. Everything should be in the C/D concourse.
Thanks! What if I have duty free liquids from Mexico, will I have to put hos in my checked luggage once I land at IAD? or is there away to clear security with them enroute to YYZ?
I will be traveling to Raleigh by United from IAD. I will be arriving IAD by Qatar Airways from Doha where there is no preclearance. I have 2.5 to 3 hours at IAD to clear immigration, collect baggage and customs and to security check for RDU. Is this enough or too tight? Please guide me with some details about gates. Thanks
That should be enough time if everything goes smoothly. Once you claim your bags and go through US Customs, it's not a long walk to where you re-check your bags with United.
Thanks for the prompt response.
Dublin to IAD to Houston IAH - 1 1/2 hour between international to domestic- is that enough time to get to our Houston flight?
You don't have to go between "International and Domestic". Since you pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin, all you have to do if both flights are on the same reservation is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
Did not know we preclear US custom in Dublin!
Thank you very much!!
Hello, traveling from Boston to Zanzibar with first plane change at IAD. How to get from terminal D to terminal A?
A and D are concourses not terminals. If your bags are tagged through you just take the mobile lounge or AeroTrain between concourses
Hello ! I will fly in april from zurich to phoenix with a stopover at washington dulles. Landing time 15:05. Departing time for domestic flight : 17:45. Is 2h40 enough time to clear custom and security ? (No checked luggage)
Yes, that is plenty of time.
Hello, So i am doing this route.

Toronto, ON, CA (YYZ - Pearson) to Washington, DC, US (IAD - Dulles) 10:24 am - 11:48 am (1h 24m) UA 6198 Canadair Regional Jet 700 51m connection Washington, DC, US (IAD - Dulles) to Los Angeles, CA, US (LAX) 12:39 pm - 3:33 pm (5h 54m) 5h 22m connection Los Angeles, CA, US (LAX) to Singapore, SG (SIN) 8:55 pm - 6:50 am (17h 55m)

I am not worried about the LAX since it's ample time but i think 51 mins from international YYZ To IAD to switch to LAX might be a bit too tight?

Anyone with these experience? This flight is happening on a Sat.
Yes, that is enough time. You pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto so all you have to do in Washington is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
thank you!
