    Brunswick Golden Isles Airport BQK, a small regional airport, is located in Brunswick, Georgia, on the Atlantic coast, and serves its area and surrounding Islands. Delta jet service offers four flights daily (check for off-season schedules), connecting through Atlanta only. Rental cars are available on site. Estimated travel time to either Jekyll Island or St. Simons Island is less than a half-hour.


    Travel directons from the Airport to St. Simons Island and Jekyll Islands:

    (a) to St. Simons Island:
    Follow the Glynnco Parkway to the Golden Isles Parkway (GA Spur 25) and turn left. Continue approximately 4 miles and merge right onto US Highway 17 South. At the second traffic signal, turn left onto FJ Torres Causeway. The St. Simons Welcome Center is on the immediate right as you turn on to the causeway and tourist information, including maps, is available. Continue across the causeway approximately 5 miles to reach St. Simons Island. Kings Way bears off to the right, taking you to the St. Simons Pier Village, the beaches and the St. Simons Lighthouse. Continuing straight is Demere Road, taking you to the intersection of Frederica Road and to the airport and the East Beach Causeway. The left turn at the first traffic signal is North Sea Island Causeway, taking you to Sea Island and the Cloister.

    (b) to Jekyll Island:
    Follow the Glynnco Parkway to the Golden Isles Parkway (GA Spur 25) and turn left. Continue approximately 4 miles and merge right onto US Highway 17 South. Continue past the FJ Torres Causeway to St. Simons Island. Cross over the suspension bridge and be prepared to take an immediate left onto the Jekyll Island Causeway at the base of bridge. Continue approximately 5 miles across the marsh. There is a $3.00 parking fee for entrance to Jekyll Island and a map of the island is available at the toll booth. Maps and tourist information are also available at The Jekyll Island Welcome Center, located on the left side of the causeway before you reach the island.
