Airport Terminal Layout

Dallas Love Field has two terminals, the Main Terminal and the Legend Terminal. The Main Terminal is divided into two levels, the lower level for arrivals and the upper level for departures. The Legend Terminal is a smaller terminal that is used exclusively by Southwest Airlines.

Overview of Terminals

The Main Terminal at DAL Airport is the larger of the two terminals, serving airlines such as Delta, Alaska, and United. It features a variety of dining and shopping options, as well as amenities like charging stations and free Wi-Fi. The Legend Terminal is smaller, but still offers a range of services for Southwest Airlines passengers, including a TSA PreCheck enrollment center and a pet relief area.

Getting Between Terminals

If you need to transfer between the Main Terminal and the Legend Terminal, you can do so easily using the airport's complimentary shuttle service. The shuttle runs every 10-15 minutes and takes just a few minutes to travel between the two terminals. If you are connecting between flights within the same terminal, you can simply walk between gates without needing to exit and re-enter security.

Food, Shops & Services

The airport is a great airport for food and shopping enthusiasts. The airport has a variety of restaurants and cafes that offer delicious food and drinks. From fast food to fine dining, there is something for everyone. Some of the popular food options at the airport include Whataburger, Cinnabon, and Starbucks. The airport also has several bars and lounges where you can relax and enjoy a drink before your flight.

In addition to food and drinks, Love Field also has a great selection of shops and stores. You can find everything from souvenirs to luxury items at the airport's many shops. Some of the popular stores at the airport include Brookstone, InMotion Entertainment, and Texas Marketplace. If you need to buy something for your trip, there are also several convenience stores and newsstands where you can purchase snacks, magazines, and other travel essentials.

Aside from food and shopping, Dallas Love also offers a variety of amenities and services to make your travel experience more comfortable and convenient. The airport has free Wi-Fi throughout the terminal, so you can stay connected while you wait for your flight. There are also several charging stations where you can charge your electronic devices. If you need to freshen up before your flight, the airport has several restrooms and showers available for use. Additionally, the airport has a baggage storage facility where you can store your luggage if you need to explore the city before your flight.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

DAL has four security checkpoints located throughout the airport. The checkpoints are located at the entrance of each terminal, with two in the main terminal and one in each of the satellite terminals. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their flight to allow enough time for security screening.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

Passengers who are members of TSA PreCheck or CLEAR can use the designated fast track lanes at Dallas Love Field Airport. TSA PreCheck lanes are available at all four security checkpoints, while CLEAR lanes are located at the main terminal and satellite terminals. These lanes allow eligible passengers to bypass the regular security lines and expedite the screening process.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

Dallas Love Field does not have international flights, so there are no passport or immigration control locations at the airport. However, passengers traveling to international destinations from Dallas Love Field will need to connect through another airport with international flights and go through passport and immigration control at that airport.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

DAL Airport has several TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints located throughout the airport to help expedite the security screening process for passengers. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows eligible passengers to enjoy a faster, more efficient screening experience by keeping on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and leaving laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. To use TSA Pre Check, passengers must apply for the program and be approved by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

Global Entry Locations

The airport is a designated Global Entry location, which allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers entering the United States. Global Entry members can use automated kiosks to complete their customs declaration and biometric scanning, which can save time and hassle. To become a Global Entry member, travelers must apply online and complete an in-person interview at a Global Entry Enrollment Center. Love Field has a Global Entry Enrollment Center located on-site for added convenience.

CLEAR Lane Locations

This airport does not currently have CLEAR Lanes. However, you still might be able to use CLEAR if you are traveling to or from another airport that does. You can easily check CLEAR airport locations and learn more about how to save a ton of time on your next trip!

Limited Time CLEAR Offer

In partnership with iFly, you can now get CLEAR for 2 months free! You can enjoy the convenience of CLEAR on your next trip without the hassle and stress of long lines at the TSA checkpoint. Enrollment is fast and easy.

Airport Lounge Locations

DAL offers several lounges for travelers to relax and unwind before their flights. The Delta Sky Club lounge is located in the main terminal, near gate 15. This lounge offers comfortable seating, complimentary snacks and beverages, and free Wi-Fi. The United Club lounge is also located in the main terminal, near gate 8. This lounge offers similar amenities, including comfortable seating, complimentary snacks and beverages, and free Wi-Fi.

In addition to the airline lounges, there is also The Club at DFW lounge located in the main terminal, near gate 6. This lounge is open to all travelers, regardless of airline or class of service. The Club at DFW offers comfortable seating, complimentary snacks and beverages, and free Wi-Fi. There is also a second location of The Club at DFW in the airport's new terminal, near gate 20.

Baggage Claim Areas

Upon arrival at Dallas Love Field Airport, passengers can easily locate the baggage claim areas. There are four baggage claim carousels located on the lower level of the terminal building. Each carousel is designated for specific airlines, so passengers should check the flight information displays to determine which carousel to go to for their flight. Baggage claim areas are equipped with baggage carts for passengers to use to transport their luggage to their next destination.

Luggage Cart Availability

Luggage carts are available for passengers to use throughout Dallas Love Field. These carts can be found in the baggage claim areas, as well as in other areas of the airport, such as the parking garages and terminal building. The cost to use a luggage cart is $5, which can be paid with cash or credit card. Passengers should note that luggage carts are not permitted beyond the security checkpoint, so they should plan accordingly.

Luggage Storage Locations (Left Luggage)

DAL Airport does not have a left luggage service. However, there are several luggage storage options available near the airport. One option is to use a luggage storage facility located in the nearby city of Dallas. These facilities offer secure storage for luggage at a daily rate. Another option is to use a luggage storage service that operates at the airport. These services provide luggage storage in a secure location within the airport terminal building. Passengers should check with their airline or a travel agent for more information on luggage storage options.
