The Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport GPT is located one mile South of I-10, exit 34A U.S. 49 South, on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and midway between New Orleans, Louisiana and Mobile, Alabama. Traveling south on U.S. 49, just follow the signs to the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport. The Airport serves the cities of Gulfport and Biloxi, the second-largest metropolitan area in the State of Mississippi. It is is open every day, 7 days a week, 6am-11pm.
Amenities within the passenger terminal include an USO Gulf Coast facility for members of the military and their family, open 7am-7pm (228-575-5224); Smarte Cartes, skycaps, ATM machine, free Wi-Fi internet access; Hudson News at pre- & post-security for newspapers, snacks and gifts; a filtered smoking room at post-security; computer work stations with internet access, meeting rooms (228-863-5951); restaurants at pre- & post-security; a lounge and an arcade and vending area.
The Airport is served by some major airlines offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe. With the airport expansion project now completed, the airport has two new gates, expanded lobby and ticket area, improved roads to/from the terminal, larger baggage claim and security areas and space for two new airlines. The project also included a new three-level parking garage with 800 spaces. Short-and long-term parking is available in the parking garage and the surface lot, with free shuttle service to/from the lot. To get from the Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, use one of the taxis or limos available, or choose a shuttle--Golden Gulf shuttle (228-374-5466) or the Gulf Coast Transportation (800-366-8115 or 228-255-7224).
