GPT Airport is one mile South of I-10, exit 34A U.S. 49 South, situated midway between New Orleans, Louisiana and Mobile, Alabama. Traveling south on U.S. 49, just follow the signs to the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport.

Present and future Airport developments:
In July 2016, Gulfport Biloxy Airport received a $1,2M grant for terminal rehabilitation, security enhancements, taxiway widening and airport drainage improvements. (As of late April 2017, no announcements of work undertaken have been made (with the exception of a new T-hangar for small aircraft). The Airport also received a $3.4M grant for noise mitigation measures.
