Keflavik Airport ( KEF ) Terminal Map # Fast food, restaurants, stores, cafes, bars
The two-level passenger terminal of Keflavik Aiport is divided into Departures and Arrivals areas, and is in compliance with Schengen regulations.
50 self-service check-in machines complete the check-in process within minutes; thereafter passengers hand over their bags to the Fast Bag Drop-off and proceed to departures level 2.
Level 1 houses the check-in counters; to the right a travel agent, meeting point, parking machine; to the left a cafe, ATM cash machine, parking machine, rental car counters, 10-11, FlyBus counter, information counter and Customs - with a duty-free area in the center - leading to the boarding area which includes an ATM machine, internet access, information counter, restaurant, gift store and duty-free store area - with access to gates 25 - 35.
Level 2 houses the security check at right; in the center is the Departures lounge and a children's play area - surrounded by shops & restaurants - leading to boarding area which includes the Saga Lounge, passport control, internet access, a gift store, banking facilities, 2 duty-free stores, an Information counter (near gate 11) and a restaurant - with access to gates 8 - 15.
Services and amenities inside the passenger terminal include food & drink (including travel lunch packages for onboard consumption and shops. The reception desk in the Arrival hall (tel. +354 410-4144), Icelandair self-service check-in machines ; Fast Bag Dropoff; ATM cash machines and a bank branch; currency exchange (available in the departure hall - tel. +354 410-9026), duty-free stores in both Departure & Arrivals lounges, food & drink eablishments, shops, an Information desk, internet access, mailbox, play area, Saga lounge, smoking area, travel agent and Customs & Tax Refunds. Rental car desks are in the Arrivals area.

Self-service kiosks are offered by Delta, Icelandair, Norwegian and SAS. After self-check-in, passengers hand over their baggage at the Fast Bag Dropoff, or use the Self-Service Bag Dropoff in the Departure Hall; while those without baggage proceed to Security check on level 2.
Iceland is a Schengen participant and party to the Nordic Passport Union (with Denmark, Norway, Sweden & Finland) - members may freey travel between these countries without the need of passports.
Passengers heading to the United States need to arrive three hours prior to departure, due to additional security checks.
When changing at Keflavik Airport to a domestic flight (other than flights to Akureyri) and to Greenland & Faroe Islands, you need to travel to Reykjavik Airport, 50 km away, via Flybus transfer, - allow at least three hours between flights.
KEF Airport refrains from loudspeaker announcements, therefore watch the monitors periodically for departure times & gates.
