Nicola Tesla Airport has two passenger terminals under one roof - the renovated T1 and the new T2.  Both terminals are connected through a hallway.   Air Serbia passengers are able  to check in at any counter, while all other airlines use the 'check-in per flight method - at specific check-in counters. self-service check-in kiosks are also available.
For flights to Dubai, Doha & Abu Dhabi, check-in counters open 3 hours before scheduled departure;
for flights to Podgorica & Tivat, check-in counters pen 90 minutes before;
for all other international flights check-in counters open 2 hours before.

Note that boarding passes are again checked - along with your personal ID.  Passengers will now pass through a separated passport & immigration control in the shared departure area. A connector is situated between T1 & T2.

Terminal 1 of Tesla Airport opened in 2010 and recently added another 5,000 sq.meters). T2  The new Air Serbia business-class lounge is at Departures. Terminal 2 of Tesla Airport with a capacity of 5 million passengers a year, is used mostly by low-cost and charter airlines. It has 33 check-in desks, airline offices and  transfer desks.
- The sub-level houses the international arrivals area with baggage claim,and Customs inspection, information counter, currency exchange,  lost & Found, and a public area with rental car desks, cafe, a shop and outside bus & taxi stands.
- The ground level is the domestic arrivals level , and the departing check-in level- divided into T1 & T2 Arrivals (After shutle bus arrivals at T1 take the elevator or escalator down, pass shops and exit to waiting taxis & buses.)  T1's departing passengers check in check-in area is at the eastern part of this level, with airline counters and cofee shop, first aid, and access to the departure level.
- The departure /boarding level houses 2 passport checks and 3 security checks - leading to the secure area with shops & cafe, cash machine, business lounge and access to boarding areas A & C: (A gates 1 - 5 at north side - with a holding lounge east of gate A5 leading to separate gates A6-A10); and C gates 1 - 6 at west side.

by 11,000 sq.meters, and 4 more air bridges - no completion date is availabe.
