Norman Manley KIN Airport Overview

Kingston Norman Manley International Airport KIN, simply referred to as NMIA, is the Caribbean island of Jamaica's primary airport.
The airport is less than 20 minutes from Kingston's city center, located on the Palisadoes peninsula in outer Kingston Harbour, facing the capital city of Kingston, Jamaica, on one side and the Caribbean See on the other. With one runway and an estimated 1.6 million passengers a year, Norman Manley International is hub to Caribbean Airlines and is served by a number of international airlines and charters offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe.

To get from Norman Manley Airport to your destination you can rent a car in the Ground Transportation Hall from Avis, Budget, Hertz or Island Car, or you can use one of the many hotel- and door-to-door shuttle services listed in the ground transportation hall.

New Airport Developments: Presently NMIA is undergoing a lng-term transformation in three phases,  which will turn the Airport into a spacious and modern facility and offer services and amenities expected by today's travelers. Phase 1A was completed; Phase 1B is scheduled to be completed in 2012, and phase 2 will commence 2013 and should end 2022.
