With one runway and 1.6 million passengers in 2016, Norman Manley International is served by domestic & international airlines offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe - as well as by charters.
NOTE: Between 2004 & 2014, Airport facilities have been under continuous redevelopment. In November 2016 a new Air Traffic Control Tower opened. It is expected that by 2022 there will be a virtual reconstruction of the entire airport.
International Arrivals at NMIA are to submit their completed immigration form (including sections A, B & C), present their valid passport and their return ticket. NOTE: International arrivals may now use one of the ABC (automated passport control) kiosks for self-service immigration border clearance. The kiosks use biometric checks for quick & secure processing. Upon clearance a receipt is issued and passenger may exit the customs hall.
NOTE: Automated Border Control kiosks have been installed in both Jamaican airports. These self-service kiosks speed up the immigration process considerably, and - unlike at other countries, this service is available to all passengers arriving in Jamaica.
