Internet Access at Portland PDX Airport
Free Wi-Fi access is available at access points covering 70 percent of the Terminal's Main Level, including most gates, the Oregon market & food court, and lobby areas near the north and south security checkpoints.
Travelers can get real-time flight arrival/departure updates, browse information about retail and restaurant offerings in the airport, and get the latest travel tips.
To access the PDX network, set the wireless card properties to default or CHCP-enabled configuration. Disable encryption and type 'flypdx' - which gets you to the free FDX screen (do not accept anything else!).
To use the airport’s free Wi-Fi service, laptops, PDAs, Pocket PCs, cell phones or other devices, you must use an 802.11b-capable wireless network card.
To access the wireless network make sure that you are on the main terminal/departure level of the terminal, (a) set the wireless card properties to the default configuration or DHCP-enabled, and (b) disable any encryption and input “flypdx” as the access point, if required.
