Airport Terminal Layout
The Portland Airport has a total of six concourses, labeled as Concourse A, Concourse B, Concourse C, Concourse D, Concourse E, and the Main Terminal. The airport is designed in a linear fashion, with the Main Terminal located in the center and the concourses branching out on either side.
Overview of Terminals
The Main Terminal is the hub of the airport, with all of the check-in counters, baggage claim areas, and security checkpoints located here. Concourse A is primarily used by Alaska Airlines, while Concourse B is used by Delta Airlines and Southwest Airlines. Concourse C is used by United Airlines, and Concourse D is used by American Airlines. Concourse E is used for international flights.
Getting Between Terminals
To get between the terminals, passengers can use the airport's free shuttle service, which runs 24/7. The shuttle stops at each concourse and the Main Terminal, making it easy to move between flights. Additionally, passengers can walk between the Main Terminal and Concourse A, which are connected by a covered walkway.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
PDX has several security checkpoints located throughout the airport. The main security checkpoint is located in the center of the terminal building, near the entrance to Concourse C. There are also additional security checkpoints located at the entrances to Concourses A, B, and D. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time to pass through security.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Portland Airport offers a TSA PreCheck program that allows eligible passengers to use a dedicated lane for expedited security screening. The TSA PreCheck lane is located at the main security checkpoint in the center of the terminal building, near the entrance to Concourse C. In addition, some airlines offer their own fast track lanes for their premium passengers. These lanes are typically located near the main security checkpoint.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Portland Airport has a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility located in the International Arrivals area of the terminal building. Passengers arriving on international flights are required to pass through CBP processing before exiting the airport. The CBP facility is located near the baggage claim area in the lower level of the terminal building. Passengers are advised to have all necessary travel documents, including passports and visas, ready for inspection by CBP officers.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
PDX Airport has several TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints located throughout the airport. These checkpoints are designed to streamline the security process for travelers and allow those who have enrolled in TSA Pre to move through security more quickly. TSA Pre is a program that allows travelers to keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and keep their laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. To enroll in TSA Pre, travelers must complete an application process and pay a fee.
Global Entry Locations
The airport is home to a Global Entry Enrollment Center, which allows travelers to complete the application process for the Global Entry program. Global Entry is a program that allows travelers to expedite their entry into the United States when returning from international travel. To enroll in Global Entry, travelers must complete an application process, attend an interview, and pay a fee. The enrollment center at PDX makes it easy for travelers to complete this process before their trip, saving them time and hassle when they return to the United States.

Airport Lounge Locations
Portland Airport offers a variety of lounges for travelers to relax and unwind before their flights. The Alaska Lounge is located in Concourse C and offers comfortable seating, complimentary snacks and drinks, and high-speed Wi-Fi. The Delta Sky Club is located in Concourse D and features a full-service bar, shower facilities, and a business center. The United Club is located in Concourse E and offers a quiet space to work or relax, with complimentary snacks and drinks and access to Wi-Fi.
In addition to these major airline lounges, Portland Airport also has the House Spirits Distillery Tasting Room in Concourse C, where travelers can sample local spirits and cocktails. The Capers Cafe Le Bar in the Main Terminal also offers a lounge area with comfortable seating and a selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. Baggage Claim Areas
PDX Airport has four baggage claim areas located on the lower level of the main terminal. Baggage claim carousels are clearly marked with flight information and airline logos. If you need assistance with your baggage, you can find baggage service offices near each baggage claim area.
Luggage Cart Availability
Luggage carts are available for rent at the airport. You can find them at various locations throughout the airport, including baggage claim areas, parking garages, and concourses. The cost to rent a luggage cart is $6, and payment can be made with cash or credit card.
Luggage Storage Locations (Left Luggage)
If you need to store your luggage at PDX, there are several options available. The airport offers a left luggage service, which allows you to store your bags for a fee. The left luggage location is on the lower level of the main terminal, near baggage claim area 3. Additionally, some airlines offer baggage storage services for their passengers.
