PDX Airport Transportation Options
Portland Airport offers a variety of transportation options to help you reach your destination. From public transport to taxis, ride-shares, and rental cars, you can find a convenient way to travel from PDX to downtown Portland and beyond.
Taxis & Limousines
Taxis and limousines are available at the center section of the lower roadway at the terminal's baggage and departures level. You can contact local taxi services for more information.
Private Shuttles & Buses
Long-distance shuttles, hotel courtesy vans, and parking lot shuttles pick up passengers at the same location as taxis. Contact your hotel for courtesy shuttle availability.
Ride-Share Services
Lyft and Uber are approved ride-share services at PDX. Pick-up is located outside of baggage claim, on the lower roadway, north end at Island 1. Use the app to request a ride and follow signs to the designated pick-up area.
Rental Cars
Rental car facilities are located outside the Parking Garage. Major providers include Avis, Budget, Enterprise, and Hertz. Contact them directly for reservations and inquiries.
Public Transportation
- MAX Light Rail: The TriMet MAX Light Rail station is outside the southern end of the terminal near concourses A and B. The Red Line takes you to downtown Portland in 38 minutes. Transfer options to the Green, Blue, and Yellow lines are available at the next stop, Gateway.
- Bus Connections: Many city buses connect with the MAX Light Rail, Portland Streetcar, and Aerial Tram. Check schedules at www.trimet.org.
Unique Facilities
The airport features a transportation hub outside the Parking Garage, where all transportation options are available. This central location makes it easy to switch between different modes of transport.
