Roanoke Regional Airport ROA serves Virginia's city of Roanoke and its surroundings. It is a full-service airport accommodating all types of aviation: scheduled airlines, freight carriers, general aviation, corporate, air taxi and charter operations and the military.
The Airport is located in the City or Roanoke, south-west Virginia, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, and easily accessible by Interstates 81 (Exit 143 to I-581/ to Peters Creek/ to Airport Road).

The Y-shaped passenger terminal at Roanoke Regional Airport has two levels, offering free internet access.
The first level offers rental cars (Avi Budget, Enterprise, Hertz & National, vending-, change- and ATM machines, telephones (TTY, TDD) and data ports; a shoeshine stand, amail box and a hotel information desk.
The second level offers a pre-security and a post-security cafe, a newsstand, telephones, an ATM machine and airline gates.
Note: A new baggage screening system at the airline ticketing counters is to be completed by August 2011.

Parking options at Roanoke Regional include 1,800 parking spaces. Curbside parking has a five-minute-only limit. If you need more time, park in the short- or long-term lot where you get the first 15 minutes free. The short-term lot is 300 feet from the terminal entrance and the long-term lot is adjacent to it.  There is also an overflow lot available. The long-term lot offers frequent daily free shuttle bus services  to/from the terminal 5am-7pm (on your return, the shuttle stops at door 4). For more parking information call 540-362-0630.

To get from Roanoke Regional Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi (540-344-1776), a limo (540-982-5466), a hotel shuttle, or a bus:  The baggage claim area has a phone board for local hotels & their shuttle services.
