Online check-in & baggage payment

1. From Scandinavian countries you are able to check in online with SAS, Blue1 and Wideroe (and to Lufthansa & Austrian departing from Scandinavia) 22 hours to one hour prior to scheduled departure. 2. Whether you checked in online or used other self-service means to check in, you may leave your baggage at the Baggage Drop counter, where the staff will make sure that the baggage tag matches your ticket and your ID. 3. Different check-in rules apply to departures from (a) Germany (except Berlin, Bucharest, Dubai & Prague; (b) Berlin; (c) Zurich, Geneva, Kiev & Salzburg. For baggage checkin, obtain a tab at SAS self-service kiosks or checkin counters.

Carry-on Baggage Rules & Fees

Carry-on bags canot exceed 23x40x55cm or a linear dimension of 115cm and 8kg in weight. Bags in excess thereof are not permitted onboard. (a) To/from Asia & USA, incl. connecting flights (if aircraft size allows): Economy Class: 1 bag; Business & Economy Extra: 2 bags. (b) All other routes: 1 carry-on bag.

Checked Baggage Rules & Fees

1. New baggage rules apply on all SAS Group operated flights (SAS, Blue1 & Wideroe). Free baggage for at least one checked bag (depending on flight class) is included in the ticket. Baggage rules apply regardless of destination for departures on and after October 2010. Other rules may apply if you fly on other airlines. 2. For SAS Group operated flights (domestic, Europe, Asia or USA destinations) the following free check-in baggage allowance applies to: (a) Economy class: 1 free bag up to 23kg/50lb and 158cm/62in; (b) Economy Extra class: 2 bags free of same size & weight each; (c) Flex, Full Flex & Business classes: 2 bags free up to 32kg/70 lb and 158cm/62in each. 3. If total weight/dimension of bag exceeds baggage allowance, or when traveling with special bags like sporting equipment, you need to request this in advance at the time of reservation. Otherwise, baggage exceeding 32kg/70lb needs to be either repacked or shipped as cargo. 4. Excess baggage charges: (a) On code-share flights (airline partners) the operating airline rules apply; check first. (b) If continuing journey on an SAS Group operated flight, same rules apply for the entire trip; however, if you continue journey with another airline, SAS rules may be offering more generous baggage rules. Check the other airline for possible additional baggage fees. 5. Charges for extra weight, size or bags must be paid at the Airport.
