Sheremetyevo International Airport SVO is located 29 km northwest of Moscow, accessible by Leningradskoe motorway.  It is one of the three major airports in the Moscow area (the other two are Domodedovo and Vnukovo). With two long runways and 14.7 million passengers a year, Sheremetyevo is hub to Aeroflot and  is served by a host of domestic and international airlines belonging to one of the three major global alliances - Star Alliance, Sky Team & OneWorld - offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe.

Two hotels are situated near Terminal F, the 'Novotel' and the 'Park Inn'; the 'Kora-VIP' hotel is near Terminal B, and the 'V Express' inside the Aeroexpress Train building, across from Terminal F.

The layout of the Airport's passenger terminals is somewhat unique, as it has two terminal complexes, one at the northern end (TB & TC), and the other at the southen end (TF) of the airport. A shuttle bus runs between T1 (the future TB) , TC & TF, taking 15-20 minutes.

Services and amenities at TB, TC & TF of Sheremetyevo Airport include e-ticket booths, Wi-Fi access, Mother & Child rooms, Luggage wrapping and storage, postal servicess, includes faxes, VIP lounges, rental car desks, food & drink establishments, and shops and duty-free shops.

Ample parking is available in both the Northen and Southern sections of the terminals, in various parking lots and in a multi-storied parking terminal.

To get from the Airport to your destination, you can rent a car (getting to city center can take from 20 mins to 2 hrs, but after completion of road construction, it will be down to 30 mins.), or take a taxi, minivan or the train: A cab will cost you between $30 & $40.
The Train station is in front of Terminal F and Moscow's Savelovskaya Train Station, as well as Belorussky Train Station, can be reached via the Aeroexpress train within 15-20 minutes. Passengers from the  northern terminals B1 & TC, need to take the shuttle bus to T-F's train station. Rail tickets are sold by regular (250 RR) and first-class service (350 RR).
