Moscow Sheremetyevo SVO Airport Overview
Sheremetyevo International Airport SVO is one of three major airports in the Moscow area (the other two are Domodedovo and Vnukovo), serving the Russian Federation and beyond.
The Airport is located 29 km northwest of Moscow, accessible by Leningradskoe motorway, which merges into motorway M10, and by the AeroExpress train (between Belorussky Train Station in Moskow and the Airport’s Terminal E), a 35-minute trip, running every 30 minutes during peak hours. Also, a toll-expressway will connect to St. Petersburg, and have a Sheremetyevo Airport exit.

With two long runways (a third to be completed by 2015) and an estimated 26.2 million passengers in 2012, Sheremetyevo International is hub to Aeroflot and is served by a host of domestic and international airlines belonging to one of the three major global alliances - Star Alliance, Sky Team & OneWorld - offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe.
NOTICES:
1. The call center has been modernized - use +7 (495) 578-65-65; or inside Russia 8-800-100-6565 (free).
2. You can now check in with Skype (login svo_checkin): have passport & flight number ready - dispatcher will send your boarding card via Skype; print it out and take it with you to the airport, where you then only will need to check in your bags at dedicated dropoff stands.
3. Passengers with reduced mobility should open: svo.aero/video for Airport services aviailable to them.
4. During the construction work on Leningradskoe & International Highways, it is recommended using the AeroExpress train from/to Belorusskaya (Moscow center), taking only 35 mins. (open aeroexpress.ru) - tickets can be paid by Visa payWave. Skype kiosks are available at the railway station.
On-Airport Hotels at Sheremetyevo Airport: Four hotels are situated in the South Complex:
(a) the 4-star 'Novotel' (tel. +7 495 232-2220 /fax 739-4460);
(b) the 5-starPark Inn (tel.+7 495 232 2220 /fax 739-4460); and
(c) the 4-star 'V Express' (tel. +7 495 777-0242) located inside the Aeroexpress Train building, level 5, across from Terminal F, offers a 3-tier class;
(d) The 3-star 'Kora-VIP' (tel. +7 495 578-696) is between Terminal B & F.
The passenger terminal complex at the Sheremetyevo Airport' consists of five passenger terminals - TB through TF and is divided into a North and a South Complex on either side of the runways: (For more information, please refer to 'Terminal Map' page.)

To get from Sheremetyevo Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi, aminivan, a train or a bus: The AeroExpress train station is connected to Terminal E. Moscow's Savelovskaya Train Station, as well as to the Belorussky Train Station, can be reached via the Aeroexpress train within 15-20 minutes. Passengers from the northern terminals B1 & TC, need to take the shuttle bus to TF's train station. Rail tickets are sold by regular and first-class service.
1. Bus Service Rechnoy vokzal:
(a) Bus 8513 is the exress bus and Bus 851 is the local bus running every 9-30 mins & taking 40-50 mins. Both are running from Terminals B, C, F, E, D, to Moscow.
(b) Bus 949 runs from Terminals F,E,D,B, & C to Moscow, taking 30-50 mins.
2. Bus Service Planernaya: Buses 817 & 948 run from Terminals F,E,D,B, & C to Moscow, taking 40-70 mins.
3. The Aeroexpress train at Terminal E offers five early-morning services to/from Moscow between the hours 5 to 7:30am.
Current and future Airport developments: Under the ''North Terminal Complex development' a new terminal with a 40 million passenger capacity, is to be built until 2030. The first phase of construction, aimed at a 10 million capacity, is to be located at present Terminal B. It will have a subway entrance, connecting the Airport's South & North sectors and, together with a third runway, will be completed by 2015..
