TEB Airport Overview
Teterboro Airport TEB is located 12 miles from mid-town Manhattan, across the Hudson River in Teterboro, Bergen County, New Jersey, and is owned and operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The airport is designated as a 'reliever' airport, which serves the vital interests and general aviation requirements of the areas of northern New Jersey and metropolitan New York. It is the oldest operating airport in that area. The airport has two smaller runways, measuring 2,134 and 1,833 feet in length. It hosts five Fixed Base Operators, has 19 hangars and over 5,000 employees. Teterboro Airport can be reached by bus routes 165 (regular); 161 (limited) and 144 (weekday rush hours), which leave the Port Authority Bus Terminal on 8th Avenue/42nd Street in Manhattan, or by taking the Pascack Valley line of the New Jersey Transit to either the Teterboro station or the Woodridge station--close to SW of the Airport. At present, there are no passenger airlines serving the airport.
