Teterboro Airport TEB - a general aviation and charter airport -
is located 12 miles from mid-town Manhattan, in Teterboro, Bergen County, New Jersey, and is situated between NJ Hwy 17, U.S. route 46, and Moonachie Avenue. It is owned and operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Teterboro Airport t is the oldest operating airport in that area - serving the vital interests and general aviation requirements of the areas of northern New Jersey and metropolitan New York.
TEB, which is designated as a 'reliever' airport for JFK, LGA, & EWR - currently serves as General Aviation Airport only.
The airport has two small runways, measuring 2,134 and 1,833 feet in length. Aircraft exceeding 100,000 pounds are not permited. It hosts five Fixed Base Operators, has 19 hangars and over 5,000 employees.
While all operations can be accessed from NJ Hwy Route 17, for Jet Aviation Services use Moonachie Av. exit, while for Meridian, Signature Flight Support, Atlantic Aviation & Airports Operations use Malcolm Ave. exit.
No central parking facility is available at Teterboro airport, rather it is handled by individual fixed base operators (Atlantic,First, Jet, Meridian & Signature).
Teterboro Airport can be reached by bus routes 165 (regular); 161 (limited) and 144 (weekday rush hours), which leave the Port Authority Bus Terminal on 8th Avenue/42nd Street in Manhattan, or by taking the Pascack Valley line of the New Jersey Transit to either the Teterboro station or the Woodridge station--close to SW of the Airport.
