Victoria (YYJ) Airport

Change Airport

  • YYJ Airport Overview
Victoria International Airport (Airport Code: YYJ) is located on the Saanich Peninsula, off Hwy 17 and 22 km north of Victoria, the Capital of British Columbia, on the most southern tip of beautiful Vancouver Island, bordering to its south and east on Washington State, USA. One of the most popular tourist attractions, Victoria is referred to as the "City of Gardens". The drive to or from the airport takes you past the resort town of Sidney-by-the-Sea, the countryside of North Saanich, and Districts of Central Saanich and Saanich.

A host of airlines offer direct flights to major hubs, such as Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, San Francisco and Seattle, as well as to tourist destinations such as Las Vegas and Puerto Vallarta.

YYJ is looking for ways to combat increasing traffic congestions leading to the airport and is considering a light rail to serve the airport in the future.
