Watertown International Airport ART serves Jefferson County, located in the northwest corner of New York State, and.the Thousand Islands Region, eastern Ontario (Canada), St. Lawrence Seaway, River Valley, Fort Drum and the City of Watertown.
The Airport is located in the town of Dexter on Route 12F (Exit 46 of I-81), 5 miles miles west of the city of Watertown and 20 mnutes from Fort Drum.
While the Airport is served presently only by Cape Air (1-800-352-0714) with daily flights to the capital city of Albany, and to Boston  with worldwide connections, it recently received a Federal grant to extend the runway by 2000 meters, which will enable larger aircraft to land/take off, and entice other airlines to serve the Airport.

Watertown International offers free parking, quick boarding, friendly service and free wireless internet acess. 3 rental car agencies do business at the airport, as well as two taxi companies (Yellow Cab 315-782-2121).
