Wilmington International Airport ILM is a small airport in Wilmington, serving the southeastern part of North Carolina. Wilmington residents can reach well over a hundred domestic and international destinations with only one stop. In addition to general aviation services, the airport also serves commercial air traffic.

Directions to the Airport: (a) Highway 17 South turns into Market Street at Wilmingto; take a right onto MLK Pkwy and exit at the Airport sign; turn left on 23rd Street, where Airport Road is to your right.  (b) From Hwy 17 North exit at the Hwys133 & 421North Airport exit; just past the USS battleship take a right onto Isabelle Holmes bridge; the route merges into the MLK Pkwy; stay on MLK & follow Airport signs to 23rd St. Airport Exit, turning right onto 23rd St.; 2 miles thereafter turn right onto Airport Blvd. (c) Coming from the West, take Hwy 40 into Wilmington until MLK Pkwy, turn right, stay on Pkwy & take the Airport exit; turn left on 23rd St. to Airport Road.

With an estimated 822,000 passengers a year, Wilington International is served by some major airlines offering daily flights to an increasing number of U.S. airport hubs, with connections to all points of the globe. The Airport is open 24 hrs/day and airline gates are open according to flight departures.

Surfers take note that ASA Delta does not accept surfboards as checked baggage on any flight out of Wilmington International; when making reservations with US Airways, advise them that you will be checking in a surfboard, as they accept them only on certain flights. Allegiant Air accepts surfboards as checked baggage on all of its flights from Wilimington Airport.

Parking options at Wilmington International Airport:
The short-term parking lot is across from the passenger terminal and the Long-Term lot is right behind it.
There are also three credit card lots, the closest of which is the Premium Credit Card lot, and 2 other Credit Card Lots are closeby.
All lots offer the first 15 minutes of parking free. Handicap parking is available in all lots.
Parking fees can be paid in cash (except in Credit Card Lots), by MasterCard, Visa, or AMEX.

Rental car counters are in the arrivals area of the terminal, and the rental car lot is only steps from the passenger terminal.

To get from Wilmington International to your destination you can rent a car, take a taxi or a shuttle. Taxi Service is available in front of the passenger terminal from a large number of taxi companies (The Transporter 910-632-7401, AAA Coastal Taxi 910-632-4717, Affordable Taxi 910-409-2513, etc.). Limo Service is offered by Lett's Limo Service 910-343-3335.) No public buses are available.
