    Wilmington International Airport ILM is a small airport in Wilmington, serving the southeastern part of North Carolina. In addition to general aviation services, the airport is served by a few major commercial airlines offering daily flights to major hub airports, with connections to all points of the globe. Wilmington residents can reach well over a hundred domestic and international destinations with only one stop. Current non-stop destinations are: New York (LGA); Atlanta (ATL); Charlotte (CLT); Orlando Sanford (SFB); and Philadelphia (PHL). A record-breaking 814,502 passengers used the Airport in 2008.

    The airport is easy to navigate with a single-level terminal connected to a concourse with boarding gates and include an information center, an ATM machine, the Tailwind Deli/Bar & Gift Shop, a newsstand, rental car counters, and an aviation lounge and food cart in the concourse. Rocking chairs are available throughout the airport for some down-home relaxation while waiting for your flight or baggage. A new public parking lot was recently completed and another one is in the planning stage.

    ILM Airport is open 24 hrs/day; its Airline Gates are open according to flight departures; Ground Transportation is available and is based on flight schedules. The Airport Restaurant is open 4:45a.m.-7:00p.m. and the Gate Area Restaurant & Lounge is open 5:30am-7:30pm. Rental Car Agencies operate 5:30a.m.7:30p.m.
