Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport YWG - also referred to as 'Winnipeg International' - not only serves the central Canadian Province of Monitoba and its capital city Winnipeg, but also parts of the provinces of Saskatchewan, NW Ontario & Nunavut, as well as parts of North Dakota and Minnesota in the U.S.

The Airport is located in the geographical center of North America and close to downtown Winnipeg, and can be accessed from King Edward Street Route 90, which runs into the Canada Highway 1 & Route 85.

With two long runways and 3.4 million passengers in 2011, Winnipeg International Airport is hub to Calm Air & Perimeter Airlines (Perimeter has its own terminal, serving the more remote areas), and is served by many scheduled and charter airlines offering  flights to numerous domestic and international destinations with connections around the world.  Delta Connection / Pinnacle Airlines serve Minneapolis/ St. Paul. To get from Winnipeg Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi or a bus:  A new bus terminal opened in 2009, situated On Wellington Av., next to the Administration Building and across from the long-term parking lot.  Winnipeg Buses 15 & 20 and the Greyhound bus serve the Airport with transportation to the City and beyond.
