BGM Airport Overview
Greater Binghamton Airport BGM is located in the town of Maine, NY and 8 miles from the City of Binghamton, between the cities of Scranton, PA, to the south and Syracuse, NY, to the north. Main arteries leading to BGM Airport are I-81 and Route 11 (Castle Creek Road) and Route 17. Even though the Airport was serveral times renamed, locals still refer to it as Link Field. In 2001--50 years after the airport opening--the Airport finally received a major renovation. In 2004 the airport opened four new jet bridges that can accommodate regional and mainline jets. Greater Binghamton Airport is served by some major airlines' regional services, offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe. BGM Terminal hours are 4:30am-1am, or until last flight arrives.
The passenger terminal offers the following amenities: internet access throughout the terminal; the Gateway Cafe with gift shop; the Airport Conference Center with a meeting room and a host of amenities--catering available; and the Airport Business Center with work stations and Wi-Fi access. Long- and short-term parking is available, with the first 15 minutes free. To get to town, you can either choose from one of the airport's rental car agencies to rent a car, or take a taxi.
