Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport CHO serves one of Virginia's economically strong regions with a corporate-heavy support base, who contributes to the Airport's success. It also benefits considerably from the area's tourism business.
The Airport is located 8 miles north of the city of Charlottesville, Virginia--one mile west of Route 29 on Airport Road. It is a non-hub commercial service airport, and is 10 miles from the University of Virginia.

With an estimated 392,000 passengers a year, Charlottesville Albermarle Airport provides frequent air shuttle service to Philadelphia International Airport throughout the peak Caribbean travel season, and from there, US Airways offers overs a multitude of weekly nonstop flights to a host of Caribbean destinations.Three major airlines offer frequent direct flights to eastern hub cities with connections around the world.

The Airport opens at 4:30 am and urges passengers to arrive 90 minutes before their scheduled flights, particularly during peak hours of 5-7am. Luggage needs to be checked at least 30 minutes prior to departure.

Parking options at Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport include short-term lots and long-term and long-term/ Overflow lots. For passenger pickup use the Short-term lot offering the first 30 minutes free.
Disabled parking is offered in the Short-Term Lot.  All Short-term parking passengers need to pay their parking fees at the pay station inside the passenger terminal.
The Long-Term Overflow parking lot is an automated, credit card only lot.
