Cork ORK Airport Overview

Cork Airport ORK is is the Ireland’s second-largest airport in terms of passenger numbers.
The Airport is located at Ballygarvan, 8 km south of the city center of Cork, in Cork County, southern Ireland, and is accessible on the south end of N27 when driving from either North, West or East of Cork, and off R600 when coming from Kisale. It .

With two runways and an estimated 2.3 million passengers in 2012, Cork Airport is served by a host of national, international, regular & low-cost airlines offering direct flights to numerous European cities and connections worldwide, and by seasonal charters offering flights to popular vacation venues.
On-airport hotels:  The Cork International Airport Hotel (tel. +353 (0)1 454 9800) is opposite the passenger terminal and connected to it by a covered walkway; and
the Radisson SAS Hotel (tel. +353 (0)21 494 7500) isin the Airport’s center.
A new passenger terminal at Cork Airport has two levels:
The lower level has in the public area an Arrivals hall with rental car desks, information desk, coffee shop & internet kiosks; and a Departures hall with a bank branch, ATM, bookstore, internets kiosks, ticketing desks, check-in desks and self-serve kiosks. The restricted area of the lower level houses Customs, baggage claim are, Immigration Hall & Arrivals corridor.
The upper level's Departures hall is on both sides of the escalator/ elevator. Behind it is an Executive lounge, the Red Bar, a sports bar, a book store, a food court in the center and 'The Loop' across from it. The Departure hall houses gate lounges, internet kiosks, a cafe, and access, to the right to gates 5 to 8, and to the left to gates 1 to 4.
The meeting point is the Arrivals Hall, opposite from the Information desk.
NOTE: The baggage system is being upgraded, to be completed by year-end 2013.

Parking options at Cork Airport include a short-term parking garage, two long-term parking lots P1 & P2, both within walking distance of the terminal, with a courtesy bus serving P1.
The multi-story short-term Parking Garage adjacent to the new passenger terminal & connected to it by covered walkway with gradual gradient, is ideal for picking up/dropping off passengers.
