The passenger terminal at Des Moines International, with Concouses A & B, has recently completed its renovation & expansion projects, whereby it remodeled its Concourses A & C, installed in-line baggage system; removed old scanning machines. The Terminal Lobby received a new terrazzo flooring, unique ceiling design, new revolving doors and casual seating with enhanced children's play area, arranged in a plaza. It added new directional signs, family restrooms, improved traffic flow, and incorporated a fire suppression system. Aside from food & drink and retail concessions, the terminal offers Boingo Wi-Fi (tel. 1-800-880-4117), self-service customer check-in kiosks, a business center, rental cars in the new Rental Car Facility, a gift shop, hotel information, restaurant & lounge, TDD telephone, and massage therapy.

Concourse A has a Business center, an elevator and gates 1 to 5 for Allegiant, AirTran, Midwest Connect & United airlines.  Between Concourse A & C is a food court with an ATM machine.
Concourse B  has gates 1 to 7 for American, Continental, Delta & US Airways airlines.
