Fayetteville Regional Airport FAY
serves a 12-county area in the Sandhills of the southtern part of North Carolina, along the I-95 corridor. It recently has been named a 'Sustainable Sandhills Certified Green Business' .
FAY Airport is situated in Fayetteville - the 'City of Dogwoods'. Coming from Interstate 95, North or South, take Exit 44 via Snowhill Rd., travel west and follow the airport trailblazing signs for approximately 3 miles to Airport Rd; turn right within 1000 feet; you will be on the airport's terminal access road, which circles the airport parking facilities.
The Airport opens at 3:30am and closes with the last flight arrival of the day; ticket counters open 4:30am.

With an estimated 450,000 passengers a year, the Airport is served by some major airlines, offering direct flights to US hubs, with worldwide connections.
The passenger terminal at Fayetteville Regional Airport
offers Smarte Cartes, ATM machine, wireless internet access, food and drink establishment, vending machine, rental car counters, video games and shoeshine service.
The new USO facility on level 2 is open 7am-7pm and offers a number of amenties.

Present and future Airport deveopments:
In Sept. 2016 the Airport received a $10M federal grant to update its terminal - including the escalators, which is to be completed by 2019. A further grant is hoped for to get new airport offices and a new security checkpoint. However, like so many other smaller U.S. Airport these days, itdoes not expect passenger counts to go up after work has been completed.
