    Lewiston-Nez Perce County Airport LWS, is located at the confluence of both the Snake and Clearwater Rivers. It is in a narrow valley with a range of hills to the north sloping to 2000 feet above the valley floor, and is near Hwys 12, 129 and 195, close to the City of Lewiston, Idaho, and to both Washington and Oregon States. The famed Lewis and Clark Expedition, headed by Captain Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, were in the Clearwater Valley in 1805.

    LWS is a small airport with two runways, served by Delta Connection (SkyWest) with 2 daily flights to Salt Lake City and Horizon Air to Boise and Seattle. Along with the airlines of Alaska and Northwest, it code-shares with Delta, American and Canadian airlines throughout the US and Asia. The passenger terminal offers a bistro/gift shop, a bar & caffee, a Hairport (barber/beauty shop), and on-airport rental car agencies Hertz & Budget. To get from the Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, call a cab or use the Valley Transit Bus (208-743-2545).

    The Airport Master Plan calls for a General Aviaton Hangar development area and a future industrial park.
