Lynchburg Regional Airport LYH is within the so-called 'Region 2000' - a 2000-square-mile district in the heart of Virginia - and is serving Central Virginia's city of Lynchburg and its surrounding areas. The airport's proximity to three major highways provides ready access to the area's international corporations, plants, research and development firms, colleges and universities and plays a key role in the region's growth - from business complexes to scenic and historic attractions. 

The Airport is located at the intersection of US 29, 460 & 501, at Wards Road, south of the City of Lynchburg, a city 118 miles west of Richmond.

Lynchburg Regional Airport is presently served by US Airways Express offering 6 daily departures to Charlotte InternationAirport, with connections around the world.

NOTE: passengers need to check in at least one hour before scheduled flight.

The passenger terminal at Lynchburg Regional Airport - open 4am - midnight -  is built in the distinctive style of historic Virginia architecture. Its layout makes the transition from airline check-in to boarding pleasant. The terminal has an efficient layout requiring minimal walking and enabling faster check-in and boarding. All of its gates load from a single, central boarding area. Disabled travelers can use the elevator to the gate areas and a passenger lift device for aircraft boarding assistance. The baggage carousel is adjacent to car rentals and curbside exits.
All sidewalks are accessible. Both sides of the terminal have a walkway to the parking facilities, and the entrance is divided into an arrivals area with baggage claim, hotel phones, & rental car counters, and to the right ticketing desks, an ATM machine and some concessions.  WiFi service is available throughout the terminal.  After passing security, all of the gates load from a single central boarding area. This area offers dataport-equipped workstations.

Parking options at Lynchburg Regional Airport include a close-in lot and an economy lot, both offer the first 30 minutes free, affording quick pick-up and drop-off of passengers. For more parking information call Republic at 434-239-7574.
