Pisa PSA Airport Overview
Pisa Galileo Galilei International Airport PSA is serving the beautiful Tuscany area of Italy and its famed city of Pisa..
The Airport is located 1 km from the city center of Pisa, and 80 km from Florence. It has direct access to the Florence-Pisa-Livorno dual carriageway (Pisa Centro – Aeroporto exit) to A12 Genove-Rosignano (Pisa Centro exit), to A11 Florence-Pisa North (through Pisa North link with A12), and to road SS-1 Aurelia. Tuscany cities within a 2-hr drive are: Livorno, Lucca, Viareggio, Massa Carrara, Florence, Pistoia, Prato, Arezzo, Grosseto, & Siena.
With two long runways and an estimated 4.5 million passengers in 2012, the Airport is served by domestic, international, regular & low-fare airlines, offering direct flights to European cities and connections around the world, as well as by various seasonal charters. Note that Delta has started a nonstop flight to New York's JFK Airport.

The passenger terminal at Pisa Galileo International Airport is open 4am until the last flight. A Tuscan garden-style greenery adorns the inside and outside of the Airport. Note that in April 2012 a new West Wing was added to handle the increased passenger traffic and includes new shops. This is part of the general extension and upgrade program to be completed by 2015.
The Information Office (tel. 050 849300) for flight & tourist information, which also temporarily stores your luggage, takes out flight insurance, and sells telephone cards, bus & train tickets.
Amenities and services are available at Ground and First Levels of the Terminal:
(a) at Ground level: Fist aid, lost & found, information office & locker room; train & bus ticket office, arrivals /baggage claim area; currency exchange, departures lounge, bar, cafe, pizza parlour, 'La Corte' shopping area, Departures lounge shops, airline ticket counters, check-in areas A/B, meeting point, hotel information, newsstands, APT Pisa Tourist Board.
(b) at First level: ENAC offices, VIP lounge, business center, internet point, waiting area, viewing area, 'Puccini' self-service restaurant, & other restaurants, pharmacy; t, departure lounges, loading bridges, banking & currency exchange, hair stylist, chapel.

Parking options at Pisa International Airport: With the exception of P4, these facilities are open 24/7:
1. Short-term car park P3 outside of the Departures hall.
2. Multi-level parking garage P2 next to the railway terminal, on the departures side of the passenger terminal – best for overnight stays up to a few days.
3. West car park lot P1 (Long-term) is 200 meters from the terminal – best for longer stays.
4. East Long-term car park P4 (economy lot, May-September only) is 900 meters from the terminal and served by a shuttle bus – best for parking of more than a week.
Disabled persons can use spaces in the P2 parking garage and P3 short-term car park. parking at P1, 2, 3 & 4 are free upon presentation of entry ticket & diability badge.
The rental car center can be reached by a shuttle bus from the passenger terminal, outside of the Arrivals area. It has a cafe, and houses rental car agencies (offering cars, vans, minibuses, campers). (Chauffeur-driven cars are available from Europcar, Liberty Rent & Sixt.)
To get from Pisa International Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi, a bus or a train:
(a) Taxis are available at the taxi stand in front of the passenger terminal’s exit, Arrivals side (and at Pisa Central railway station & Piazza Duomo). You can also call for a taxi at 050 541600. All ‘CO.TA.PI.’ taxis are metered. Limos are parked to the left of the taxi rank.

1. CPT’ Red LAM Line runs a shuttle bus every 10 mins. from the Airport to the city center of Pisa, with stops in between.
2. Terravision bus to Florence S.M. Novella station departs the Airport frequently and takes 70 minutes. Tickets are available at the Information desk inside the terminal.
3. ATL offers direct service from the Airport to Livorno, with main stops at Stagno and Livorno Stazione F.S. (train station).
4. Train S.p.a. bus to Siena departs the Airport daily at 11am & 5:30pm. and makes stops in between, arriving at Siena 2:50pm & 7:20pm.
5. VAI bus to Lucca and Pietrasanta departs the Airport daily with frequent stops
(c) Train to Florence: Pisa Airport’s railroad station, located outside of the check-in hall, has 25 daily train departures, connecting to Pisa Central Station, from where you are able to connect to all points of Italy & beyond. It also has a direct railway connection to the Florence SMN railway station; that line also connects to Pontedera and Empoli. Tickets can be obtained at the Information Office in the Arrivals hall.
(c) Train to Florence: Pisa Airport’s railroad station, located outside of the check-in hall, has 25 daily train departures, connecting to Pisa Central Station, from where you are able to connect to all points of Italy & beyond. It also has a direct railway connection to the Florence SMN railway station; that line also connects to Pontedera and Empoli. Tickets can be obtained at the Information Office in the Arrivals hall.
