Main Terminal / Concourses at Rapid City Regional RAP Airport
The passenger terminal at Rapid City Regional offers a business center and conference room, two restaurants and a gift shop, Smarte Carte & Skycaps , and rental car counters. The terminal is normally open 4am to midnight--no overnight stays inside the terminal are allowed.
NOTE: Construction began in February 2011 for a complete remodeling of the passenger terminal and adding an extra 12,000 square feet of space - all to be completed by mid-2012.
New rental car counters opened in early October 2011; by November 2011 all three new Jet bridges were in place, as well as the observation deck patio. Furthermore, all four new airline ticket counters should be completed at this writing. The extended secuirty checkpoint area on level 2 of the concourse improves traffic flow. The concourse receives expanded seating and added restrooms, as well as improved food & drink & retail service.
