Lost and Found at SFO Airport
Traveling can be a chaotic experience and sometimes, we may lose some of our belongings in the process. If you've lost something at San Francisco Airport, don't panic. Each airport has different procedures for handling lost items and the process will vary depending on where the item was misplaced. This guide will provide you with all the necessary steps to take if your item was lost at a security checkpoint, on the aircraft, or in other areas of the airport.
Items Lost at Security Checkpoint
If you suspect that your item was lost at a security checkpoint, you should contact the TSA Lost and Found. You can reach them at this number: +1-800-764-8050.
Items Lost on Aircraft/Lost Luggage

Items Lost in Other Areas
If your item was lost in the public areas of the airport such as terminals, garages, or the AirTrain, you should contact the San Francisco Police Department Lost and Found. For items left onboard the bus to the Long-term Parking Lot or the Rental Car Center, please contact the SFO Shuttle Bus Company at 415.915.9760.
The Lost and Found Office is located at Terminal 1, Arrivals Level, near Domestic Garage Core C Tunnel. It operates daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. You can contact them at 650.821.7014 or email them at [email protected].
Please note that there is currently no online form available to report lost items at SFO. If your call is not answered, please leave a detailed message with your name, contact information, a description of the item, and information about when and where you left the item.
