"Smarte Cartes" are conveniently placed throughout the terminal and on the third and fourth floors of the Airport Garage, and are available to rent for $4. There is a 25-cent award for returning a Smarte Carte after use. Smarte Cartes are not allowed through security checkpoints, but are available for rent on Concourses A, B, C and D

Security Checkpoints
The security checkpoints are managed by the Transportation Security Administration. There are four checkpoints at Sea-Tac (see checkpoint locations on Main Terminal map). Travelers can reach their gates from any checkpoint. The central checkpoint is open 24/7. The hours of operations for checkpoints 1,3 and 4 are determined by the airlines' schedules for that day.
