- SYR Airport Overview
Syracuse Hancock International (SYR) Airport is located just north of Syracuse in Central New York. The airport is served by nine major airlines including Continental, Delta, United Express and jetBlue offering nonstop flights to destinations in the U.S. and Canada. The airport consists of a Terminal A and B that are connected by a Main Concourse. Each terminal has a concourse of boarding gates on the upper level. A noteworthy feature of the airport is the Discover the Airport exhibit in the Main Concourse. The exhibit allows travelers and visitors of all ages to learn more about SYR airport operations and the history of aviation in the Central New York region through hands-on displays including a simulated air traffic control tower where “controllers” can speak to “pilots” in the exhibit’s Boeing 727 cockpit.
- Baggage Carts / Skycap
Baggage Carts and Skycap service are available at the entrances and exits near the Baggage Claim areas. Skycap service is also available throughout the airport to persons needing special assistance.
- Baggage Claim
There are two baggage claim areas at the Airport, located on the first floor in Terminal A and Terminal B.

- Banking / ATM Services
An ATM is located in the Main Concourse Terminal lobby across from the Car Rental Counters next to the International Airport Barber Shop and near the intersection with Terminal B (North Concourse). At the present time there is no currency exchange located at the Airport.
- Business Services
Syracuse Hancock International Airport offers various conference style rooms in the Airport terminal that can be used for meeting or general purposes. In addition to being utilized by Airport tenants, the conference rooms are available to the general public for an appropriate fee. While the size of each conference room varies, the rooms can accommodate from 1 to 125 persons.
All conference rooms are equipped with audio visual capabilities. Conference rooms should be reserved in advance. To make reservations, please contact the Department of Aviation at (315) 454-3263. If you wish to arrange for refreshments, please contact CA One Services at (315) 455-7444.
- Concourses
There is a Main Concourse Terminal and a North and South Terminal. The South Concourse (A – Gates 1-15) and the North Concourse (B – Gates 19-27).
- Emergency / Medical Services
In an emergency, dial 911 from a courtesy phone, pay phone or cell phone.
- Flight Information Monitors
Flight Information monitors are located throughout the terminal and concourses.
- International Travelers
Customs, Immigration and International Arrivals are located in the South Concourse (Terminal A).
The United States Customs Office at Syracuse Hancock International Airport is a full service inspection facility. The Customs Office inspects and releases cargo, aircraft and vessels from foreign countries and collects processing fees. The Customs office also enforces laws from over 40 different federal agencies.
Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, excluding federal holidays. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. General questions relating to customs should be directed to (315) 455-2271.

If you think that you may have lost something while at Syracuse Hancock International Airport, please visit the Syracuse Police Department’s Airport Division Office, located near the Discover the Airport Exhibit, or call (315) 454-3263 ext. 276.
If you think you lost something while on an aircraft, please contact a representative of that airline.

Elevators
Elevators are available in the lower level of the Main Concourse and provide access to the Second Levels of Terminal A (South Concourse) and Terminal B (North Concourse).
