Waco Regional Airport ACT is located about 6 miles from downtown Waco, and accessible via Interstate Hwy 35, (from South: Exit 335C; from North: Exit 339), and serves Waco's metropolitan area located in central Texas--between Dallas and Austin. Waco Regional is served by three airlines, American Eagle and Continental Connection, offering daily nonstop flights to Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston Bush Intercontinental Airports. In addition, monthly round trip jet service is available to Elko and Reno, Nevada on Gambling Junkets. Airline tickets are lower at Waco Regional than at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport. Also, Waco Airport offers free long- and short-term parking spaces, which is a good way to begin or end a trip! The passenger terminal had undergone recent renovation, with an added new hold room, expansion of the security area and updating the administration areas. The Aerodrome Cafe & Gift shop offers food and drink.
The nearby City of Waco--on the Brazos River--is rich on Texas history and hospitality and has 18 museums and attractions.
