- HDN Airport Overview
Yampa Valley Regional Airport HDN is located in Hayden, Colorado, approximately 22 miles west of Steamboat Springs, off Highway 40. It offers commercial flights as well as general aviation service to the cities of Steamboat Springs, Hayden, Craig and the entire Yampa Valley. The Airport is the only commercial airport serving Northwest Colorado and provides access to the Steamboat Springs ski resort, to year-round activities throughout the Yampa Valley, to Dinosaur National Park, and to outstanding hunting and fishing in Northwest Colorado and Southwest Wyoming.
During the ski season (December-March) HDN Airport is host to six major airlines with direct service from Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, Newark, New York City, Minneapolis, and Denver. Year-round commuter service to Denver is provided by United Express. There is no public bus service from the airport however, taxis and shuttle services are available.
