  • CAK Airport Overview
The Akron-Canton Airport CAK is located between the cities of Akron and Canton, close to Interstate 77 (exit 113) in the heart of northeast Ohio. It was recently ranked as one of the fastest-growing airports in the country. The Airport is responding to the surging demand by undertaking terminal improvements, including 'CAK 2018'--the Airport's 10-year plan which started early 2008. The plan is the most ambitious in the airport's 62-year history and includes a 600 ft. runway expansion, allowing full-sized jets to reach the west coast, the Caribbeans and Mexico. CAK 2018 calls for ten projects and includes also a new customs and border patrol facility for international flights. This will create new flight options for travelers in northeastern Ohio, Cleveland and its region. During construction, budget extra time to get to your gates. The Terminal is open 4am-1am.

Akron-Canton Airport is served by a number of major airlines offering direct flights to US hub cities, with connections around the world. In 2008, 1.5 million passengers used the Airport.
