Akron Canton Regional CAK Airport Overview
Akron-Canton Airport CAK is serving northeast Ohio. It was recently ranked as one of the fastest-growing airports in the country and the Airport has responded by embarking in 2008 on a 10-year expansion and improvement project, which includes the recent extension of the runway. Akron Airport is also offering one of the cheapest fares in the U.S.
The Airport is located between the cities of Akron and Canton in the heart of northeast Ohio, and is nearest to Interstate 77 (exit 113 - Lauby Road), and can be reached indirectly from I-271, I-277 & I-76.
With a newly extended runway and over 1.83 million passengers in 2012 (breaking its record the third year in a row), Akron-Canton Airport is served by a number of major airlines offering direct flights to US hub cities, with connections around the globe. Current airlines serving the Airport are AirTran, Delta, Southwest, United & US Airways.

If you need to pick up an arriving passenger, park in the Welcome Lot (Cell Phone Lot) across from the Short-term lot and clsoe to the Termal. Stay with your car until your party calls you to be picked up at the curb.
Other parking options at Akron-Canton Airport, listed from the most to the least expensive option (and according to distances from the terminal): 1. Short-term parking lot directly in front of the terminal; 2. Long-Term Parking Lot A (for more than 2 days) with shuttle service; 3. Long-term Parking Lot B, with free shuttle service; 4. Economy Lot with free shuttle service; 5. An even cheaper Economy lot with 750 spaces was opened recently at Lauby & Mt.Pleasant Roads intersection, served by a free shuttle - taking only 5 mins to the terminal.
Rental car counters for major agencies are located in the arrivals area and the rental car ready lot is right adjacent to it.
To get from Akron-Canton Airport to your destination, you can rent a car on-site, take the Akron Canton Taxi at 330-808-2159, or the Shuttle One Services with a full range of transportation means at 330-494-5800, the Akron Metro at 330-762-0341, or the Stark Area Regional SARTA bus at 30-454-6132.
Future Airport Developments - CAK 2018, a ten-year Airport improvement plan included the recently completed extension of the runway, and will include: aircraft parking expansion, new Customs & Border facility for international flights, and expand parking lots, TSA screening area & Concourse; and adding new flight destinations.
