The Akron-Canton (CAK) Airport is located in the heart of Northeast Ohio. CAK airport was recently ranked as one of the fastest growing airports in the country. To accommodate the additional passengers, many new improvements are attracting more and more passengers in this airport. It is recommended that you budget extra time until the expansion activities are complete.
Akron-Canton Airport is served by six commercial airlines: AirTran Airways (non-stops to Atlanta, Boston, New York, Orlando, Tampa), Delta Connection (non-stops to Atlanta & Orlando with worldwide connections), Frontier (non-stop to Denver with connections to the West), Northwest Airlink (non-stops to Detroit and connecting to World Gateway, Detroit, with connecting direct-flights to Tokyo, Singapore and Beijing), US Airways Express (non-stops to Charlotte and Philadelphia, and connections to most major east coast cities, the Carribbeans and Europe), and United Express (non-stops to Chicago, with connections to its worldwide United network to North and South America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Europe).
The Terminal is open 4am to 1am.
"CAK 2018", the Airport's 10-year plan which was kicked off in March 2008 is moving ahead. The plan is the most ambitious in the airport's 62-year history and includes a 600 ft. runway expansion allowing full-sized jets to reach the west coast, Caribbean and Mexico.

Access to the Airport and Parking
Handicapped parking spaces are located in all CAK parking lots, near shuttle pick-up areas and in front rows. All parking shuttles are lift-equipped. Wheelchair service is available from your airline inside the terminal building. Passenger assistance is provided by skycaps in front of the terminal between 4:00am and 8:00pm.
Elevators
Most of the Airport terminal is single-level. Elevator access to the second level is available at the new concourse. If you see an escalator, there is an elevator near by.

All public area restrooms are handicap accessible.
Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are provided by the airlines for their customers. Service can be requested from the airline in advance or at the ticket counter when you check in.

Passengers age 18 and older must present photo identification, such as a passport, driver’s license or a military ID, issued by a local, state or federal government agency, or two forms of non-photo identification such as a Social Security card, one of which must have been issued by a state or federal agency. Travel Tips
Before you leave home:
The night before your trip, put medications and important documents (reservation numbers, hotel and car rental information) in your carry-on bag.
Print your boarding pass from your home computer to save time at check-in.
Don’t wrap gifts. Or Security personnel will have to unwrap them during screening.
If you will have any firearms in your checked luggage, call your airline to let them know.
Wear slip-on shoes. It will speed your trip through gate screening.
Before locking the front door behind you, check your airline for arrival and departure information.
Plan to arrive at the airport 60 to 90 minutes before your departure time.
At the Airport:
If you didn’t print your ticket at home, now’s the time to do it at a self-service kiosk.
Check luggage at the ticket counter prior to going to gate screening. Do not lock your luggage.
Declare any firearms located in your checked luggage.
Please only take one carry-on and one personal item (like a purse, laptop or bag).
Once at gate screening, remove your laptop from its case.

Terminal Paging: Call (330)-896-2385 (Akron) or (330) 499-4221 (Canton). If you are at the airport and need to page someone, visit the Information Desk. Paging is not available in the airport past 8:00 p.m.
Passenger drop/off: You may continue to drop passengers off at the terminal curbside, as long as the driver remains with the vehicle at all times. The vehicle should not be left unattended while in the designated loading and unloading areas. Vehicles are prohibited from parking in front of the terminal. Unattended vehicles left at terminal curbside and any other illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed and may be towed.
