Online check-in & baggage payment You can check-in online up to 24 hours prior to departure by selecting your departure and arrival airports. If there is an Austrian Airlines flight number on your booking confirmation, you can also check in for Lufthansa and other partner airlines. Note that if your journey consists of several different flights, please check in for each flight leg individually.
Carry-on Baggage Rules & Fees You are allowed to bring onboard 1 carry-on bag, with up to 6kg/13lb and measuring up to 55x40x20cm or 22x16x7in, or a total of 115cm/45in. Business Class travelers are allowed 2 bags (one up to 8 kg and one up to 4 kg) with maximum dimensions of 57x54x15cm. In addition, all classes can bring onboard the following personal items: 1 coat, jacket or blanket; 1 umbrella or walking stick; 1 handbag or a slim laptop bag; 1 small camera or binoculars; for infants under 2: 1 baby carrier or 1 child car seat or collapsible stroller (max. 10 kg).
Checked Baggage Rules & Fees 1. Each checked bag cannot exceed 32kg. Notify Austrian Airlines in advance of items exceeding such limit. If item cannot fit into the aircraft hold, it has to be shipped as cargo. 2. If traveling with special baggage such as music instruments, call +43 (0)5 1766 1000 or email special cases at austrian.com in advance. 3. Baggage allowances apply to adults and children over 2 years.
