Columbia Metro Airport CAE is located six miles from the State Capital of Columbia, South Carolina, near major highways I-26, I-20, I-77 and nearby I-95. Columbia Metro, a 2,600 acre medium-sized airport, is not only the Southeastern Regional Hub for UPS, but is also served by several domestic airlines serving domestic and international connections.
CAE Airport offers services and amenities in its 2-level terminal, which include the Food Court and Business Center. In 2003 a new multi-level parking garage was added. Guests can enjoy free wireless Internet from inside the terminal hall. In addition to several parking options, valet service is also available.
Columbia CAE airport plays tribute to the past and future by combining images of the antebellum South with modern features like a large central atrium with a blue pyramidal roof.
Driving directions to Columbia Metro: Take exit 113 to Airport Blvd. Make a right at the first light. Turn right on John Hardee Expressway. Follow signs to Columbia Metro Airport.

Business Center - located in the main lobby of the terminal.
The 1,159 square-foot facility includes a conference room for meetings, computer workstations with communications capabilities, a lounge and a kitchen area. Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-6pm. Copier and fax services, along with information and directions to surrounding areas are available. A Travel Insurance Console is located adjacent to the Information Desk.

The public area of the airport terminal consists of both an upper and a lower level. The main entrance, ticket counters, food court, gift stores and gate access are on the upper level. Baggage claim, car rental and other services are on the lower level.

With the increase in travelers during the holidays, it is advisable to arrive at the airport at least two hours prior to your flight.
Tag Every Bag
Make sure that all checked and carry-on bags are tagged with identification information. Also include tags inside each bag in the event the outside tag falls off. You can save time by filling out luggage tags before arriving at the airport.
Leave gifts unwrapped
They may need to be opened for security inspection.
Limit Carry-Ons
Carry-on baggage is limited to one carry-on bag plus one personal item. Personal items include laptops, purses, backpacks, briefcases, or camera cases. Place valuables and prescriptions in your carry-on bag.
Boarding Pass and Identification
You must have your boarding pass and a photo ID to gain access to the departure gate when accessing the security checkpoint. Your boarding pass can either be issued at the ticket counter or via an airline check-in kiosk.
Film
Place all undeveloped film and cameras with film in your carry-on bag. The screening equipment for checked baggage may damage undeveloped film.
