Main Terminal / Concourses at Darwin International DRW Airport
Darwin Airport has one large two-story passenger terminal, with the ground floor serving the domestic arrivals & departures, and the first floor serving the international arrivals and departures.
Amenities and services inside the terminal include internet access (on level 1) a bank, ATMs machines, foreign currency exchange, food & drink establishments, shops and duty-free shops, lockers, shower facilities, mailbox, and tourist information desks.
NOTE: The passenger terminal will be extended to double in size. Work started late May 2013, and involves the addition of 11,000 sq.meters of space, with expanded check-in area, room for additional departure lounge, improved baggage system & security screening areas, and upgraded international facilities.
The Qantas lounge will increase in size, and Virgin Australia will have its own lounge.
New food & drink and retail concessions will be gradually added, the first of which to open is Bumbu.
Commpletion of this project is scheduled for mid-2014.
