Main Terminal / Concourses at Darwin International DRW Airport

Darwin Airport has one large two-level passenger terminal,  with the ground level serving the domestic arrivals & departures, and the first level serving the international arrivals and departures.  Note that the terminal has now completed its renovation /upgrade work, which included:
    The western end of the terminal (International) completed a new entry route for internationall arrivals, with larger Customs line with 4 Smart Gates & 5 kiosks as self-service options. With a new baggage claim belt, the area tripled in size and added more retail upgrades. 
    The eastern end of the terminal (Domestic) added / upgraded some retail outlets (new duty-free store, Virgin Australia Lounge, Hector's bar.
In May 2015 the newly expanded terminal covering 290,600 sq.feet officially opened with 4 new domestic and 2 new international gates, expanded check-in area & departure lounge, improved security screening areas, new multi-use baggage reclaim. Also, Qantas & Virgin Australia opened new lounges, while new & redesigned retail outlets have also been completed.
    Amenities and services inside the terminal include internet access (on level 1) a bank, ATMs machines, foreign currency exchange, food & drink establishments, shops and duty-free shops, lockers, shower facilities, mailbox, and tourist information desks.
There is the  new Dome Cafe, with 170 seats & airside views and the new Hector's Bar, as well as a new family entertainment center.
- The new  & larger Qantas Club lounge - previously at the eastern end of the building (turn left at top of the central escalators) - is now located further to the east.
- As of September 2016, the new Catalina Premium Airport Lounge is available to all paying passengers ($34 for singles, with family packages available). 
- SmartGate border control's  ABC e-gates have been installed at: Melboune, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Cairns & Darwin.  (Biometric cameras fitted to the eGates automatically adjust to the passenger’s height and innovative document feeder technology automatically positions the passport precisely on the reader eliminating any delays due to document misplacement or inadequacy of time for reading. During busy periods, each eGate is capable of processing up to 150 passengers an hour.)

NOTE: The Airnorth carrier connects Darwin Airport with Tennant Creek & Alice Springs.
