Eagle County EGE Airport Overview

Eagle County Airport EGE serves Colorado's city of Vail and its surrounding Eagle County, and is just minutes from Vail - known for its superb skiing in winter (including nrby Aspen, Steamboat, and Summit County resorts) and its breathtaking location in the heart Colorado's Rocky Mountains with year-round recreation.

The Airport is just minutes away from Vail, and can be reached from Denver via Interstate Hwy 70 (take exit 147; go right (south) at roundabout on Hwy 6 east & turn on Cooley Mesa Rd. - Or, driving towards Glenwood Springs, take exit 140; go right (south) at roundabout on Hwy 6 east & turn on Cooley Mesa Rd. and it's another 1.7 miles to the exit at Eldon Wilson Road to your right.

With a long runway and an estimated 450,000 passengers a year, major domestic airlines & their affiliates serve the Airport with direct flights to many US hub cities, with connections around the world.  Summer & winter schedules vary.

It is recommended that you arrive 90 minutes before scheduled flight.

The passenger terminal at Eagle County Airport has continually grown, adding customs services for private aircraft and free wireless internet service in the terminal; the security checkpoint was expanded and a new baggage screening system installed. New retail & food concessions were added and flight information screens replaced the old TV.  Amenities and services include shops & restaurants (both can be reached at 970-524-9269), rental car counters, an ATM machine, and friendly black-blazor attired Airport Ambassadors helping you get around the Airport. If you need to page someone, contact the airport ambassador at 970-977-0284.
Current airlines serving the terminal:  American, Delta & United.

Parking options at Eagle County Airport: Free parking is available (a) in the short-term lot (up to 7days) closest to the terminal, which also has some 30-minute parking spaces available; and (b) in the long-term lot (up to 30 days) located west of the terminal. If you need more parking time, contact the Airport Administration at 970-328-2680.

Rental car agencies have counters in the arrivals area of the passenger terminal.

To get from Eagle County Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi, a shuttle or a bus:
For your transportation needs, in-terminal transportation assistance is available from Colorado Mountain Express (800-525-6363) or High Mountain Taxi (Vail 970-524-5555; Aspen 970-925-8294).
A host of other taxi, limo, door-to-door shuttle and bus service is also available.
The general Shuttle, Limo, & Taxi driver meeting point in the terminal is at the westernmost point of the baggage carousel area.
