Main Terminal / Concourses at Eastern Iowa CID Airport
Eastern Iowa Airport has one passenger terminal which presently houses on the ground level, past the ticketing desks, security screening, and has to its left gates B1-B7; straight ahead of Security is the Concourse on the upper level, reached by escalators, are gates C1-C6. All gates serve arrivals & departures.
The old stand-alone machines are being replaced with an out-of-sight in-line baggge system, installed in a large new extension, and expected to be completed in fall of 2012. Furthermore, all airline ticket counters will be moved to the west wing, which is United's & Delta's present location - a job done in phases. Once a ticket counter is completed, the airline will be relocated. A family restroom will replace the Trailways office (which moved to 2816 Lippisch Place), with a new separated restroom next to it.
Presently the terminal offers the following amenities: Free WiFi connection is available throughout the terminal; the Business Center, open 8am-10pm has laptop computer ports and overhead presentation equipment--rentals on hourly/daily basis. Other amenities include work stations in the Concourse, an arcade, gift shops, restaurant and lounge, ATM machine, FedEx and mail drops, stamp machine, 4 rental car counters, a shuttle counter, and Sky Caps.
