Checked Baggage Rules & Fees

1. Baggage allowances are based on either piece or weight concepts (as shown on your ticket): (a) to/from USA, Canada & Brazil: by number of bags; (b) to/from all other EK Networks by weight of bags). 2. Baggage allowances also vary by travel class and Skywards membership tier. Once you enter your information on the airline site, it shows the allowances for your trip (any additional Skywards allowances shown there are not displayed on the air ticket). 3. Any bag over 32 kg/71lb into, out of or via Dubai International Airport cannot be accepted. 4. Journeys commencing with another airline connecting to an Emirates flight: Contact that airline regarding their policy on through-checked baggage. Depending on how tickets were purchased and systems offered at airport, Emirate travelers connecting to another airline may or may not get their baggage checked through and need to contact their local Emirate office. Absent available through check-in between Emirates other airlines, allot enough time between airport arrival, baggage collection, immigration clearance & customs, and check-in for onward flight (and possible delays) to prevent a missed flight.
