Buenos Aires Ezeiza EZE Airport Overview

Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport EZE ('Aeropuerto International de Ezeiza Ministro Pistarini') is Argentina’s most important airport and handles most of the country’s international flights. Buenos Aires City and its Province together account for nearly 50 percent of Argentina's total population (Buenos Aires and its suburbs alone account for 10 million inhabitants).

The Airport is located in the City of Ezeiza, in the Province of Buenos Aires, and is 22 km southwest of the capital city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, accessible via motorway AU1 (25 de Mayo - also known the Ricchieri Highway).

With two long runways and an estimated 9.1 million passengers in 2011, Buenos Aires Ezeisa Airport is hub to Aerolineas Argentinas, LAN Argentina & (in 2012) SkyTeam members, and is also served by many international airlines offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe.

As of January 2012
Air France & Alitalia depart from Terminal C and arrive at Terminal B; check-in for Emirates is in Terminal A , and the following airlines operate in Terminal B: KLM, Andes, Sol de Paraguay, Buquebus & airline charters.

NOTE: An 'Airport improvement fee' of US $29 is due prior to any international departure. In addition, citizens of the following countries need to pay a ‘reciprocity fee’ upon entering Argentine Territory: Austalia (US$ 100), Canadia (US$ 70) & U.S. ($ 140), payable in pesos, U.S. dollars, credit or debit card or by Travellers checks.

The passenger terminal complex at Buenos Aires/Ezeisa Airport consists of a main passenger terminal with integrated services. (For detailed terminal information, click on 'Terminal Map'.) 
 
Parking option at Ezeisa International: Parking can now be accessed directly from Ricchieri Highway. Parking at present is available in the multi-story garage across from Terminal  A (height restriction 1.9 meters) or in the open-air parking lot across from Terminal B The first 15 minutes of parking are free.

Rental car counters for Alamo, Hertz, Avis, & Localiza are in Sector A of the terminal's arrivals level.

To get from the Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi, or or a bus:
1. Ezeiza taxis (tel. 5480-0066) and  Buenos Aires taxis (tel. 5304 2610) are outside Arrivals of A & B 'terminals', as well as so-called Remis.
2. Manuel Tienda Leon shuttles can be contacted at 5411 0810 888 5366. 
3. The public bus 394 to the City is located at the AA2000 Corporate Building, with access to Edcadassa. Bus 394 makes the following stops: Ezeiza Hospital, J. Newberry Road; main post office, & Monte Grande Railroad Station.
4. The closest railway station is in Ezeiza's Consitucion terminal.

Present and Future Airport Developments: Besides the opening of the new Terminal C, Ezeiza Airport, which expects to have over 13 million passengers and 90,000 operations a year by 2013, will have a modern rescue & fire-fighting system, provide for enanced safety, more infrastructure, up-to-date technology, added services, an extended apron area, 21 telescopic bridges, 200 check-in counters, over 4,800 parking spaces, and the ability to process 4,000 passengers during rush hours. 
Once all tasks are completed, the airport will consist of the northern hall of Terminal A, a new check-in hall similar to TA in Terminal B, a new pier or southern wing used for domestic operations, a large building for boarding & deplaning operatiio, and the present International Terminal which will be restructured and refurbished.
