Jackson Evers JAN Airport Overview

Jackson Evers International Airport JAN serves the greater Jackson, Mississippi, area, and it was recently chosen by 'Airport Council International' in the under-5 million passenger category as a 'Worldwide Top Five Performing Airport'.

The Airport is located in Flowood, near the state capital city of Jackson, reachable within a 20-minute drive. The Airport is situated to the North of I-20 and to the East of I-55. Exit I-20 at Hwy 475/ Airport Rd.S; or exit I-55 at Hwy 25/ Lakeland Drive, leading to Airport Road. 

With two long runways and an estimated 1.2 million passengers in 2012, Jackson-Evers International Airport is served by a number of major airlines and their affiliates, offering non-stop flights to major US cities, with connections around the world.
The Airport is currently served by American Eagle, Delta/ASA/Comair, Southwest, United & US Airways.

Jackson Evers Airport has one passenger terminal. (For more information, please refer to 'Terminal Map' page.)

If you pick up a passenger at the Airport use the free Cell phone lot C, which is across from the Surface Lot B. Stay with your car until your party has collected bags and calls you to be picked up at the curb.

Other parking options: On arrival, it is best to check your bags at Curbside Services on Departure Level, then park your car and take a free ride back.
1. The Parking Garage A is across the street from the Terminal;
2. Surface Lot B is right behind it.
3. Long-term Parking lot D is three quarters of a mile from the Terminal on South Hangar Drive. Ndote that it has a new process, whereby you need a ticket at entry and pay by credit/debit card at when exiting. Free shuttles run every 15 minutes.

Rental car counters for major agencies are located on level 1, across from the baggage claim area.

To get from Jackson Evers Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi, a limo or a bus. Transportation is available outside the baggage claim area, level 1 of the passenger terminal.
