Getting Around the Airport
Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport serves the greater Jackson, Mississippi, area. Main Terminal
The terminal building structure at the JAN airport has one main terminal building which houses all airport facilities. It has three levels.
Level 1 houses the airside with Terminal Gate 1, along with baggage claim, business centre, public conference, and an administration office. There are restrooms and a lost baggage claim here as well. You can find an art display. There is also a tricket country and security checkpoint. You will find options for coffee shops, bars/cocktails, shops, and restaurants. Outside there are ground transportation options as well.
Level 2 houses the East and West Concourses with terminal gates 1-4 and gates 15-19 respectively. There are restrooms and a lost baggage claim here as well. You can find an art display. There is also a tricket country and security checkpoint. You will find options for coffee shops, bars/cocktails, shops, and restaurants.
Level 3 houses the airside and provides access to the parking garage on level 2.

Terminal Tips
- Passengers are advised to arrive at least 2 hours before their scheduled departure time to account for TSA security wait times and any possible delays.
- To ensure a smooth check-in process, passengers should pack carry-on luggage in a suitable manner, have photo ID ready, and read all the airline guidelines properly prior to arriving at the airport.
- No unattended baggage will be allowed inside the terminal building. You must keep your bags with you at all times.
