• MHT Airport Overview
  Manchester (MHT) Airport, in Manchester, N.H., positions itself as a convenient alternative to New England’s busiest airport, Logan International in Boston. Thanks to New England’s compactness, the airport is less than an hour’s drive from Boston and many of the region’s popular tourist destinations. The airport is served by nine airlines and their regional jet services offering nonstop flights primarily to destinations east of the Mississippi River. The presence of low-fare airline Southwest help keep air fares reasonable. The small and modern terminal is easy to navigate – in fact, while most airports advise passengers to arrive two hours or more before departure time, Manchester Airport officials say that during non-peak hours arriving one hour before departure gives passengers sufficient time to park, check-in and go through security. That does sound convenient!

  Manchester Airport is made up of one main terminal. Manchester Airport opened its new, 75,000 square foot passenger terminal addition in 2004. Continental Airlines and Northwest Airlines occupy the new airport facilities. The addition includes four jet gates with associated passenger hold rooms, sixty feet of additional airline ticket counters, two baggage carousels, the Nutfield Cafe and Brew Pub, two Hudson news and gift locations, a business center and its own TSA security screening checkpoints.
