YXE Airport Overview
Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International Airport YXE, located within the city of Saskatoon and in the center of the province of Saskatchewan, Canada, is the province's busiest airport and serves as an important component of the Canadian Civil Air Transport System. The airport functions as an important hub for domestic, transborder and international passengers and air cargo, and is a vital contributor to the economic prosperity of Saskatoon and the surrounding region.
Many Airlines serve the airport:
(a) with non-stop flights to: Minneapolis St.Paul, Toronto, Winnipeg, Regina, Prince Albert, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver & Buffalo Narrows; as well as Las Vegas and Denver, USA;
(b) with one-stop, same-plane service to: Prince George, Kelowna, Victoria, Fort McMurray, La Ronge, Wollaston Lake, Stony Rapids / Black Lake, Fond du Lac and Points North Landing;
(c) with one-stop connecting flights to: most major Canadian, US and international destinations through airline HUBS in Minneapolis / St.Paul, Toronto, Calgary & Vancouver; and
(d) with seasonal charter service is available to popular international sunspot destinations and northern Saskatchewan hunting and fishing destinations.
The airport contains a sizable land area, 1,084 hectares (2,678 acres), with sufficient space to accommodate future development of airport facilities, including long-term airport terminal building expansion and expanded runway, taxiway and apron aircraft maneuvering areas, within the current airport boundary.
